* [SCSI] fc4: remove this and all associated driversMatthew Wilcox2007-10-171-349/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | This code has been slowly rotting for about eight years. It's currently impeding a few SCSI cleanups, and nobody seems to have hardware to test it any more. I talked to Dave Miller about it, and he agrees we can delete it. If anyone wants a software FC stack in future, they can retrieve this driver from git. * [PATCH] getting rid of all casts of k[cmz]alloc() callsRobert P. J. Day2006-12-131-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Run this: #!/bin/sh for f in $(grep -Erl "\([^\)]*\) *k[cmz]alloc" *) ; do echo "De-casting $f..." perl -pi -e "s/ ?= ?\([^\)]*\) *(k[cmz]alloc) *\(/ = \1\(/" $f done And then go through and reinstate those cases where code is casting pointers to non-pointers. And then drop a few hunks which conflicted with outstanding work. * [PATCH] Split struct request ->flags into two partsJens Axboe2006-09-301-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | Right now ->flags is a bit of a mess: some are request types, and others are just modifiers. Clean this up by splitting it into ->cmd_type and ->cmd_flags. This allows introduction of generic Linux block message types, useful for sending generic Linux commands to block devices. Signed-off-by: Jens Axboe <axboe@suse.de>
* [SCSI] More buffer->request_buffer changesChristoph Hellwig2006-07-141-2/+0

* [SCSI] remove RQ_SCSI_* flagsChristoph Hellwig2006-06-101-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The RQ_SCSI_* flags are a vestiage of a long past history. The EH code still sets them but we never make use of that information. The other users is pluto.c which never had a chance to work but needs to be kept compiling to keep Davem happy, so copy over the definition there. We could probably get rid of RQ_ACTIVE/RQ_INACTIVE aswell with some work, there's only two more or less bogus looking uses in ubd and scsi. * [PATCH] timer initialization cleanup: DEFINE_TIMERIngo Molnar2005-09-091-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Clean up timer initialization by introducing DEFINE_TIMER a'la DEFINE_SPINLOCK. Build and boot-tested on x86. A similar patch has been been in the -RT tree for some time. * [SCSI] Remove no-op implementations of SCSI EH hooksJeff Garzik2005-06-171-1/+0
| | | | | | | Drivers need not implement a hook that returns FAILED, and does nothing else, since the SCSI midlayer code will do that for us. Signed-off-by: James Bottomley <James.Bottomley@SteelEye.com>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
