* powerpc: Update all configs using savedefconfigMichael Ellerman2015-01-201-29/+10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | It looks like it's ~4 years since we updated some of these, so do a bulk update. Verified that the before and after generated configs are exactly the same. Which begs the question why update them? The answer is that it can be confusing when the stored defconfig drifts too far from the generated result. * powerpc: configs: Add VFAT file-system configsNikhil Badola2014-09-031-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | Add CONFIG_NLS_CODEPAGE_437, CONFIG_NLS_CODEPAGE_850, CONFIG_NLS_ISO8859_1 in default configs for 85xx and 86xx socs. * USB: delete CONFIG_USB_DEVICEFS from defconfigNaoki MATSUMOTO2014-05-271-1/+0
| | | | | | | | It no longer occurs in Kconfig. USB: remove CONFIG_USB_DEVICEFS(fb28d58b) leaked remove defconfig. Signed-off-by: Naoki MATSUMOTO <nekomatu+linux@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
* powerpc/fsl: enable verbose bug outputScott Wood2011-05-191-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | This debug option has no overhead other than a slight increase in kernel size, and makes bug reports more useful. While some end users may prefer to save the space, as a default on a kernel config aimed primarily at development on reference boards, it should be enabled. * powerpc: Restore some misc devices to our configsStephen Rothwell2011-03-301-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Uwe Kleine-König reported: while working on an defconfig (arm/mx27) I noticed that just updating it[1] results in removing CONFIG_EEPROM_AT24=y. The reason is that since commit v2.6.36-5965-g5f2365d (misc devices: do not enable by default) MISC_DEVICES isn't enabled anymore by default. So all defconfigs that have CONFIG_SOME_SYMBOL=y (or =m) (with SOME_SYMBOL depending on MISC_DEVICES) but not CONFIG_MISC_DEVICES=y suffer from the same problem. This restores those misc devices to the powerpc defconfigs. * kconfig: rename CONFIG_EMBEDDED to CONFIG_EXPERTDavid Rientjes2011-01-201-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The meaning of CONFIG_EMBEDDED has long since been obsoleted; the option is used to configure any non-standard kernel with a much larger scope than only small devices. This patch renames the option to CONFIG_EXPERT in init/Kconfig and fixes references to the option throughout the kernel. A new CONFIG_EMBEDDED option is added that automatically selects CONFIG_EXPERT when enabled and can be used in the future to isolate options that should only be considered for embedded systems (RISC architectures, SLOB, etc). Calling the option "EXPERT" more accurately represents its intention: only expert users who understand the impact of the configuration changes they are making should enable it.
