* Revert "Temporarily Revert "Add basic loop fusion pass.""Eric Christopher2019-04-171-0/+102
| | | | | | | | The reversion apparently deleted the test/Transforms directory. Will be re-reverting again. llvm-svn: 358552
* Temporarily Revert "Add basic loop fusion pass."Eric Christopher2019-04-171-102/+0
| | | | | | | | As it's causing some bot failures (and per request from kbarton). This reverts commit r358543/ab70da07286e618016e78247e4a24fcb84077fda. llvm-svn: 358546
* [InstCombine] fix datalayout in test fileSanjay Patel2018-01-241-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | The only part of the datalayout that should matter for these tests is the part that specifies the legal int widths ('n*'). But there was a bug - that part of the string was not correctly separated with the expected '-' character, so we were testing as if there were no legal int widths at all. Removed the leading cruft so we have some legal ints to test with. I noticed this while testing a potential change to the way we transform shifts and sexts in D42424. llvm-svn: 323377

| | | | | | | | | | | This change tries to simmplify E1 = " X >> C1 << C2" into : - E2 = "X << (C2 - C1)" if C2 > C1, or - E2 = "X >> (C1 - C2)" if C1 > C2, or - E2 = X if C1 == C2. Reviewed by Nadav. Thanks! llvm-svn: 169182

| | | | | | | | | | | exact/nsw/nuw shifts and have instcombine infer them when it can prove that the relevant properties are true for a given shift without them. Also, a variety of refactoring to use the new patternmatch logic thrown in for good luck. I believe that this takes care of a bunch of related code quality issues attached to PR8862. llvm-svn: 125267

* Changes to support making the shift instructions be true BinaryOperators.Reid Spencer2007-02-021-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | This feature is needed in order to support shifts of more than 255 bits on large integer types. This changes the syntax for llvm assembly to make shl, ashr and lshr instructions look like a binary operator: shl i32 %X, 1 instead of shl i32 %X, i8 1 Additionally, this should help a few passes perform additional optimizations. llvm-svn: 33776
