* [mips][mips16] MIPS16 is not a CPU/Architecture but is an ASE.Daniel Sanders2015-10-151-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Summary: The -mcpu=mips16 option caused the Integrated Assembler to crash because it couldn't figure out the architecture revision number to write to the .MIPS.abiflags section. This CPU definition has been removed because, like microMIPS, MIPS16 is an ASE to a base architecture. * IR: Make metadata typeless in assemblyDuncan P. N. Exon Smith2014-12-151-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Now that `Metadata` is typeless, reflect that in the assembly. These are the matching assembly changes for the metadata/value split in r223802. - Only use the `metadata` type when referencing metadata from a call intrinsic -- i.e., only when it's used as a `Value`. - Stop pretending that `ValueAsMetadata` is wrapped in an `MDNode` when referencing it from call intrinsics. So, assembly like this: define @foo(i32 %v) { call void @llvm.foo(metadata !{i32 %v}, metadata !0) call void @llvm.foo(metadata !{i32 7}, metadata !0) call void @llvm.foo(metadata !1, metadata !0) call void @llvm.foo(metadata !3, metadata !0) call void @llvm.foo(metadata !{metadata !3}, metadata !0) ret void, !bar !2 } !0 = metadata !{metadata !2} !1 = metadata !{i32* @global} !2 = metadata !{metadata !3} !3 = metadata !{} turns into this: define @foo(i32 %v) { call void @llvm.foo(metadata i32 %v, metadata !0) call void @llvm.foo(metadata i32 7, metadata !0) call void @llvm.foo(metadata i32* @global, metadata !0) call void @llvm.foo(metadata !3, metadata !0) call void @llvm.foo(metadata !{!3}, metadata !0) ret void, !bar !2 } !0 = !{!2} !1 = !{i32* @global} !2 = !{!3} !3 = !{} I wrote an upgrade script that handled almost all of the tests in llvm and many of the tests in cfe (even handling many `CHECK` lines). I've attached it (or will attach it in a moment if you're speedy) to PR21532 to help everyone update their out-of-tree testcases. This is part of PR21532. llvm-svn: 224257
* [Mips] Adjust float ABI settings in case of MIPS16 mode.Simon Atanasyan2013-11-191-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | Hard float for mips16 means essentially to compile as soft float but to use a runtime library for soft float that is written with native mips32 floating point instructions (those runtime routines run in mips32 hard float mode). The patch reviewed by Reed Kotler. llvm-svn: 195123
* Make sure we don't generate stubs for any of these functions because theyReed Kotler2013-09-011-15/+13
| | | | | | | | | don't exist in libc. This is really not the right way to solve this problem; but it's not clear to me at this time exactly what is the right way. If we create stubs here, they will cause link errors because these functions do not exist in libc. llvm-svn: 189727
* Start to add the LLVM builtins to the mips16 exclusion lists for fp.Reed Kotler2013-08-251-0/+28
| | | | | | | | | | | | | I need to add the rest of these to the list or else to delay putting out the actual stub until later in code generation when I know if the external function ever got emitted Resubmit this patch. The target triple needs to be added to the test so that clang does not tell the backend the wrong target when the host is BSD. There is a clang bug in here somewhere that I need to track down. At Mips this has been filed internally as a bug. llvm-svn: 189186
