* [lldb][NFC] Simplify makefiles also for breakpoint testsRaphael Isemann2019-09-121-3/+1
| | | | | | | | These tests were temporarily missing when the big Makefile simplification patch landed, so this just applies the same change to these tests. llvm-svn: 371738
* [lldb] Readd missing functionalities/breakpoint testsRaphael Isemann2019-09-105-0/+93
| | | | | | | It seems when I restructured the test folders the functionalities/breakpoint was deleted. This just reverts this change and re-adds the tests. llvm-svn: 371512
* [lldb] Restructure test folders to match LLDB command hierarchyRaphael Isemann2019-09-015-93/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Summary: As discussed on lldb-dev, this patch moves some LLDB tests into a hierarchy that more closely resembles the commands we use in the LLDB interpreter. This patch should only move tests that use the command interpreter and shouldn't touch any tests that primarily test the SB API. * If a function starts with line number 0, don't try to check if a breakpoint ↵Jim Ingham2018-08-072-1/+7

We were rejecting all by line breakpoints in functions that started at line 0. But that's a special marker so we can just not do this test in that case. llvm-svn: 339182
* Fix TestMoveNearest on WindowsAdrian McCarthy2018-02-221-3/+2
| | | | | | | | | | The header file for the DLL tried to declare inline functions and a local function as dllexport which broke the compile and link. Removing the bad declarations solves the problem, and the test passes on Windows now. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D43600 llvm-svn: 325836
* Only throw -fPIC when building a shared libraryAaron Smith2018-02-081-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Summary: Update makefiles to specify -fPIC in Makefile.rules and only throw -fPIC when building a shared library. This change is necessary to allow building the lldb tests on Windows where -fPIC is not a valid option. * Fix TestMoveNearest for remote targetsPavel Labath2017-03-151-1/+2
| | | | | | | Launching a process with shared libraries on remote targets requires a special dance, which I forgot to do in r297830. llvm-svn: 297834
* Fix TestMoveNearest breakage on darwinPavel Labath2017-03-151-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | It seems that on darwin we are not able to resolve breakpoints in the test shared library until the process has started. That seems unfortunate, but it is not the purpose of this test, so work around that by starting the process before doing the rest of our checks. llvm-svn: 297830

function boundaries Summary: This fixes the case where a user tries to set a breakpoint on a source line outside of any function (e.g. because that code is #ifdefed out, or the compiler did not emit code for the function, etc.) and we would silently move the breakpoint to the next function. Now we check whether the line range of the resolved symbol context function matches the original line number. We reject any breakpoint locations that appear to move the breakpoint into a new function. This filtering only happens if we have full debug info available (e.g. in case of -gline-tables-only compilation, we still set the breakpoint on the nearest source line).
