* [lldb][NFC] Remove all `setUp` overrides that only call the parent ↵Raphael Isemann2019-12-131-4/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | implementation Summary: A lot of our tests copied the setUp code from our TestSampleTest.py: ``` def setUp(self): # Call super's setUp(). TestBase.setUp(self) ``` This code does nothing unless we actually do any setUp work in there, so let's remove all these method definitions. * [lldb][NFC] Remove 'from __future__ import print_function' from all tests ↵Raphael Isemann2019-12-131-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | that don't actually call 'print()' Summary: A lot of tests do this trick but the vast majority of them don't even call `print()`. Most of this patch was generated by a script that just looks at all the files and deletes the line if there is no `print (` or `print(` anywhere else in the file. I checked the remaining tests manually and deleted the import if we never call print (but instead do stuff like `expr print(...)` and similar false-positives). I also corrected the additional empty lines after the import in the files that I manually edited. * Canonicalize variable usage in testsuite MakefilesAdrian Prantl2019-09-251-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | This test streamlines our use of variables that are expected by Makefile.rules throughout the test suite. Mostly it replaced potentially dangerous overrides and updates of variables like CFLAGS with safe assignments to variables reserved for this purpose like CFLAGS_EXTRAS. * [lldb][NFC] Simplify makefiles also for breakpoint testsRaphael Isemann2019-09-121-3/+1
| | | | | | | | These tests were temporarily missing when the big Makefile simplification patch landed, so this just applies the same change to these tests. llvm-svn: 371738
* [lldb] Readd missing functionalities/breakpoint testsRaphael Isemann2019-09-103-0/+126
| | | | | | | It seems when I restructured the test folders the functionalities/breakpoint was deleted. This just reverts this change and re-adds the tests. llvm-svn: 371512
* [lldb] Restructure test folders to match LLDB command hierarchyRaphael Isemann2019-09-013-126/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Summary: As discussed on lldb-dev, this patch moves some LLDB tests into a hierarchy that more closely resembles the commands we use in the LLDB interpreter. This patch should only move tests that use the command interpreter and shouldn't touch any tests that primarily test the SB API. * Fix whitespace in the python test suite.Raphael Isemann2018-07-271-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Summary: The test suite has often unnecessary trailing whitespace, and sometimes unnecessary trailing lines or a missing final new line. This patch just strips trailing whitespace/lines and adds missing newlines at the end. * Make breakpoint names real entities.Jim Ingham2017-09-141-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When introduced, breakpoint names were just tags that you could apply to breakpoints that would allow you to refer to a breakpoint when you couldn't capture the ID, or to refer to a collection of breakpoints. This change makes the names independent holders of breakpoint options that you can then apply to breakpoints when you add the name to the breakpoint. It adds the "breakpoint name configure" command to set up or reconfigure breakpoint names. There is also full support for then in the SB API, including a new SBBreakpointName class. The connection between the name and the breakpoints sharing the name remains live, so if you reconfigure the name, all the breakpoint options all change as well. This allows a quick way to share complex breakpoint behavior among a bunch of breakpoints, and a convenient way to iterate on the set. You can also create a name from a breakpoint, allowing a quick way to copy options from one breakpoint to another. I also added the ability to make hidden and delete/disable protected names. When applied to a breakpoint, you will only be able to list, delete or disable that breakpoint if you refer to it explicitly by ID. This feature will allow GUI's that need to use breakpoints for their own purposes to keep their breakpoints from getting accidentally disabled or deleted. <rdar://problem/22094452> llvm-svn: 313292
* Commands are -d to break modify, not -C.Jim Ingham2017-09-141-1/+1
| | | | | | | | The auto-continue test was using the new (better) name for providing commands (-C) but I haven't checked in that change yet. Put the test back to the old way for now. llvm-svn: 313221
