* [ClangTidy] Separate tests for infrastructure and checkersDmitri Gribenko2019-10-111-193/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Summary: This change moves tests for checkers and infrastructure into separate directories, making it easier to find infrastructure tests. Tests for checkers are already easy to find because they are named after the checker. Tests for infrastructure were difficult to find because they were outnumbered by tests for checkers. Now they are in a separate directory. * Run ClangTidy tests in all C++ language modesDmitri Gribenko2019-05-201-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Summary: I inspected every test and did one of the following: - changed the test to run in all language modes, - added a comment explaining why the test is only applicable in a certain mode, - limited the test to language modes where it passes and added a FIXME to fix the checker or the test. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | approximate name matches. Summary: The goal is to reduce false positives when the difference is intentional, like: foo(StringRef name); foo(StringRef name_ref) { string name = cleanup(name_ref); ... } Or semantically unimportant, like: foo(StringRef full_name); foo(StringRef name) { ... } There are other matching names we won't recognise (e.g. syns vs synonyms) but this catches many that we see in practice, and gives people a systematic workaround. The old behavior is available as a 'Strict' option. Subscribers: xazax.hun, cfe-commits Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D49285 llvm-svn: 336992

This helps e.g. when running this check on client code where the macro is provided by the system, so there is no easy way to modify it. * Switch check_clang_tidy to argparse and add a -resource-dir argument.Manuel Klimek2015-10-221-1/+1

* Add %check_clang_tidy and %clang_tidy_diff.Manuel Klimek2015-10-221-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | With this, site specific lit configs can inject parameters into the test scripts if they need site specific parameters. Next up: enable check_clang_tidy to take a resource dir to enable non-standard locations for builtin includes. llvm-svn: 251010

* [clang-tidy] Add inconsistent declaration parameter name checkAlexander Kornienko2015-09-101-0/+188
This is first of series of patches, porting code from my project colobot-lint, as I mentioned recently in cfe-dev mailing list. This patch adds a new check in readability module: readability-inconsistent-declaration-parameter-name. I also added appropriate testcases and documentation. I chose readability module, as it seems it is the best place for it. I think I followed the rules of LLVM coding guideline, but I may have missed something, as I usually use other code formatting style. http://reviews.llvm.org/D12462 Patch by Piotr Dziwinski! llvm-svn: 247261
