* MIPS: BCM47xx: Fetch board info directly in callback functionRafał Miłecki2015-11-111-5/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This drops another symbol dependency between setup.c and sprom.c which will allow us to make SPROM code a separated module (and share it with ARM). Patch tested on Linksys WRT300N V1. * MIPS: BCM47xx: Read board info for all bcma busesRafał Miłecki2015-06-211-4/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Extra bcma buses may be totally different models, see following dump: boardtype=0x0646 pci/1/1/boardtype=0x0545 pci/2/1/boardtype=0x62b We need to detect them properly to allow drivers apply some board specific hacks. * MIPS: BCM47xx: Move NVRAM header to the include/linux/.Rafał Miłecki2015-04-011-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | There are two reasons for having this header in the common place: 1) Simplifying drivers that read NVRAM entries. We will be able to safely call bcm47xx_nvram_* functions without #ifdef-s. 2) Getting NVRAM driver out of MIPS arch code. This is needed to support BCM5301X arch which also requires this NVRAM driver. Patch for that will follow once we get is reviewed. * MIPS: BCM47XX: only print SoC name in system type in cpuinfoHauke Mehrtens2014-01-221-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | Recently the output of "system type" in /proc/cpuinfo was changed to Broadcom BCM4730 (Some sample board), but it is better to just print the SoC name in the "system type" entry. The board name will be added in the machine entry later. * MIPS: BCM47xx: sprom: read values without prefix as fallbackHauke Mehrtens2012-11-091-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | There are bcma based devices like the Linksys E2000 out there, which do have one ieee80211 core, but no PCIe core and they are using no prefixes for the sprom. In addition some values like boardtype are stored without a prefix for the main SoC chip also when they have an additional PCIe wifi chip with an own boardtype var on some devices. The Ethernet addresses are now also read out correctly without a prefix so calling bcm47xx_fill_sprom_ethernet is not needed any more. * bcma: add boardinfo structHauke Mehrtens2012-05-161-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | This struct contains information about the board, the chip is running on. The struct is filled for PCIe devices and SoCs. This information is used by b43 and will be used by brcmsmac soon. Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hauke@hauke-m.de> Tested-by: Arend van Spriel <arend@broadcom.com> Signed-off-by: John W. * MIPS: bcm47xx: refactor fetching board dataHauke Mehrtens2012-05-161-0/+5
| | | | | | | | | Now the fetching of board data also uses nvram_read_u16 and not simple_strtoul any more. Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hauke@hauke-m.de> Acked-by: Ralf Baechle <ralf@linux-mips.org> Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>
* MIPS: BCM47XX: move and extend sprom parsingHauke Mehrtens2012-03-051-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | | Move the sprom parsing from nvram into sprom.c. There are all values needed for sprom version 1 to 9 read from nvram and there are more sanity checks added. This is based on the sprom parsing in the open source part of the Broadcom SDK. Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hauke@hauke-m.de> Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>
* bcm47xx: add support for bcma busHauke Mehrtens2011-08-081-0/+8
| | | | | | | | | | This patch add support for the bcma bus. Broadcom uses only Mips 74K CPUs on the new SoC and on the old ons using ssb bus there are no Mips 74K CPUs. * bcm47xx: prepare to support different busesHauke Mehrtens2011-08-081-2/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | | Prepare bcm47xx to support different System buses. Before adding support for bcma it should be possible to build bcm47xx without the need of ssb. With this patch bcm47xx does not directly contain a ssb_bus, but a union contain all the supported system buses. As a SoC just uses one system bus a union is a good choice.
