* powerpc: Move include files to arch/powerpc/include/asmStephen Rothwell2008-08-0413-1376/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | from include/asm-powerpc. This is the result of a mkdir arch/powerpc/include/asm git mv include/asm-powerpc/* arch/powerpc/include/asm Followed by a few documentation/comment fixups and a couple of places where <asm-powepc/...> was being used explicitly. Of the latter only one was outside the arch code and it is a driver only built for powerpc. Signed-off-by: Stephen Rothwell <sfr@canb.auug.org.au> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>

* [POWERPC] iSeries: Make iseries_reg_save private to iSeriesStephen Rothwell2008-04-151-85/+0
| | | | | | | | | Now that we have the alpaca, the reg_save_ptr is no longer needed in the paca. Eradicate all global uses of it and make it static in the iSeries lpardata.c Signed-off-by: Stephen Rothwell <sfr@canb.auug.org.au> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [POWERPC] iSeries: Use alternate paca structure for bootingStephen Rothwell2008-04-151-0/+31
| | | | | | | | | | | | The iSeries HV only needs the first two fields of the paca statically initialised, so create an alternate paca that contains only those and switch to our real paca immediately after boot. This is in order to make the 1024 cpu patches easier since they will no longer have to statically initialise the pacas for iSeries. * [POWERPC] iSeries: Move viodasd probingStephen Rothwell2007-10-111-0/+47
| | | | | | | | | | This way we only have entries in the device tree for disks that actually exist. A slight complication is that disks may be attached to LPARs at runtime. Signed-off-by: Stephen Rothwell <sfr@canb.auug.org.au> Acked-by: Jens Axboe <jens.axboe@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [POWERPC] iSeries: Move detection of virtual tapesStephen Rothwell2007-10-111-0/+41
| | | | | | | | | Now we will only have entries in the device tree for the actual existing devices (including their OS/400 properties). This way viotape.c gets all the information about the devices from the device tree. Signed-off-by: Stephen Rothwell <sfr@canb.auug.org.au> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [POWERPC] iSeries: Move detection of virtual cdromsStephen Rothwell2007-10-111-0/+24
| | | | | | | | | | Now we will only have entries in the device tree for the actual existing devices (including their OS/400 properties). * [POWERPC] Remove iSeries_vio_devStephen Rothwell2007-10-112-4/+10
| | | | | | | | | | It was only being used to carry around dma_iommu_ops and vio_iommu_table which we can use directly instead. This also means that vio_bus_device doesn't need to refer to them either. Signed-off-by: Stephen Rothwell <sfr@canb.auug.org.au> Acked-by: Jens Axboe <jens.axboe@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [POWERPC] iSeries: Clean up lparmap messStephen Rothwell2007-08-221-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | | We need to have xLparMap in head_64.S so that it is at a fixed address (because the linker will not resolve (address & 0xffffffff) for us). But the assembler miscalculates the KERNEL_VSID() expressions. So put the confusing expressions into asm-offsets.c. * [POWERPC] Refactor 64 bits DMA operationsBenjamin Herrenschmidt2006-12-041-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch completely refactors DMA operations for 64 bits powerpc. 32 bits is untouched for now. We use the new dev_archdata structure to add the dma operations pointer and associated data to struct device. While at it, we also add the OF node pointer and numa node. In the future, we might want to look into merging that with pci_dn as well. The old vio, pci-iommu and pci-direct DMA ops are gone. They are now replaced by a set of generic iommu and direct DMA ops (non PCI specific) that can be used by bus types. The toplevel implementation is now inline. * [POWERPC] Fix up after irq changesOlaf Hering2006-10-072-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | Remove struct pt_regs * from all handlers. Also remove the regs argument from get_irq() functions. Compile tested with arch/powerpc/config/* and arch/ppc/configs/prep_defconfig Signed-off-by: Olaf Hering <olaf@aepfle.de> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [POWERPC] Merge iSeries i/o operations with the restStephen Rothwell2006-09-221-60/+0
| | | | | | | | | This patch changes the io operations so that they are out of line if CONFIG_PPC_ISERIES is set and includes a firmware feature check in that case. Signed-off-by: Stephen Rothwell <sfr@canb.auug.org.au> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>

| * [POWERPC] iseries: Move iommu_table_cb into platforms/iseriesMichael Ellerman2006-07-141-17/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Although we pass the address of an iommu_table_cb to HvCallXm_getTceTableParms, we don't actually need the structure definition anywhere except in the iseries iommu code, so move the struct in there. | * [POWERPC] iseries: Make HvLpConfig_get(Primary)LpIndex functionsMichael Ellerman2006-07-131-11/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | HvLpConfig_get(Primary)LpIndex are currently static inlines that return fields from the itLpNaca, if we make them real functions we can make the itLpNaca private to iSeries. | * [POWERPC] iseries: Make ItExtVpdPanel private to iSeriesMichael Ellerman2006-07-131-51/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | No one outside platforms/iseries needs ItExtVpdPanel anymore, so move it in there. It used to be needed by lparcfg, and so was exported, but isn't needed anymore, so unexport it. | * | [POWERPC] iseries: A new iSeries consoleStephen Rothwell2006-07-131-0/+28
| |/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This driver uses the hvc_console.c infrastructure that is used by the pSeries virtual and RTAS consoles. This will allow us to make viocons.c obsolete and is another step along the way to a combined kernel (as viocons could not coexist with CONFIG_VT). * [PATCH] powerpc: iseries: Make more stuff static in platforms/iseries/mf.cMichael Ellerman2006-03-221-4/+0
| | | | | | | | Make mf_get_rtc(), mf_get_boot_rtc() and mf_set_rtc() static, cause they can be. We need to move mf_set_rtc() to avoid a forward declaration. Signed-off-by: Michael Ellerman <michael@ellerman.id.au> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [PATCH] powerpc: iseries: Remove pointless iSeries_(restart|power_off|halt)Michael Ellerman2006-03-221-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | These routines just call through to the mf routines, so point ppc_md straight at the mf routines. We need to pass the cmd through to mf_reboot to make it work, but that seems reasonable. Signed-off-by: Michael Ellerman <michael@ellerman.id.au> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [PATCH] powerpc: iseries: mf related cleanupsMichael Ellerman2006-03-221-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Some cleanups in the iSeries code. - Make mf_display_progress() check mf_initialized rather than the caller. - Set mf_initialized in mf_init() rather than in setup.c - Then move mf_initialized into mf.c, the only place it's used. - Move the mf related logic from iSeries_progress() to mf_display_progress() - Use a #define to size the pending_event_prealloc array - Use that define in the initialsation loop rather than sizeof jiggery pokery - Remove stupid comment(s) - Mark stuff static and/or __init Signed-off-by: Michael Ellerman <michael@ellerman.id.au> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [PATCH] powerpc: iSeries fixes for build with no PCIStephen Rothwell2006-01-121-0/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This reverts part of "ppc64 iSeries: allow build with no PCI" (145d01e4287b8cbf50f87c3283e33bf5c84e8468) which affected generic code and applies a fix in the arch specific code. Commit "partly merge iseries do_IRQ" (5fee9b3b39eb55c7e3619a3b36ceeabffeb8f144) introduced iSeries_get_irq which was only available if CONFIG_PCI is set. * [PATCH] powerpc: Remove ItLpRegSave area from the pacaDavid Gibson2006-01-091-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | On iSeries, the paca contains, amongst other things an ItLpRegSave structure used by the hypervisor to save registers. The hypervisor locates this area through a pointer at the beginning of the paca, so the structure itself can be located elsewhere. This patch moves the reg_save area out into its own array. This reduces the amount of iSeries specific gunk which is visible to general powerpc code via paca.h Built and booted on POWER5 LPAR and iSeries RS64.
