* drm: replace "drm_dev_unref" function with "drm_dev_put"Fernando Ramos2018-11-241-2/+2

* drm/arc: Use drm_fbdev_generic_setup()Noralf Trønnes2018-11-011-30/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The CMA helper is already using the drm_fb_helper_generic_probe part of the generic fbdev emulation. This patch makes full use of the generic fbdev emulation by using its drm_client callbacks. This means that drm_mode_config_funcs->output_poll_changed and drm_driver->lastclose are now handled by the emulation code. Additionally fbdev unregister happens automatically on drm_dev_unregister(). The drm_fbdev_generic_setup() call is put after drm_dev_register() in the driver. This is done to highlight the fact that fbdev emulation is an internal client that makes use of the driver, it is not part of the driver as such. If fbdev setup fails, an error is printed, but the driver succeeds probing. | | | | | | | | | | | | | drm_plane_helper_disable is a non-atomic drivers only function, and will blow up (since no one passes the locking context it needs). * | drm: arcpgu: Fix mmap() callbackJose Abreu2017-08-031-23/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Now that ARC properly supports DMA mmap() we can use the standard CMA helper to map dumb buffers. This makes ARC PGU works with standard DRM consumer applications like, for example, mpv/mplayer via DRM. While at it, use the DEFINE_DRM_GEM_CMA_FOPS() helper. This fixes the use of dumb buffers. * | arcpgu: Simplify driver nameAlexey Brodkin2017-08-031-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This very minor change is still useful because it aligns ARC PGU driver name with other DRM drivers and makes usage of that driver name a bit easier. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CRTC don't seem to get shut down in a controlled fashion, but no one bothers to stop interrupts either so this races no matter what. Might as well remove it. * drm: remove drm_vblank_no_hw_counter assignment from driver codeShawn Guo2017-02-071-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Core code already makes drm_driver.get_vblank_counter hook optional by letting drm_vblank_no_hw_counter be the default implementation for the function hook. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Committing with block it is not. Thanks to the fixed up vblank event handling we can just use the helper support for nonblocking commits now. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is just used for cleanup in preclose, and with the reworked event handling code this is now done properly by the core. Nuke it! But it also shows that arc totally fails at sending out drm events for flips. Next patch will hack that up. v2: Rebase it! | * drm/fence: add fence to drm_pending_eventGustavo Padovan2016-06-031-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Now a drm_pending_event can either send a real drm_event or signal a fence, or both. It allow us to signal via fences when the buffer is displayed on the screen. Which in turn means that the previous buffer is not in use anymore and can be freed or sent back to another driver for processing. v2: Comments from Daniel Vetter - call fence_signal in drm_send_event_locked() - remove unneeded !e->event check v3: Remove drm_pending_event->destroy to fix a leak when e->file_priv is not set. * drm/arcpgu: use dedicated memory area for frame bufferAlexey Brodkin2016-04-291-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Now when ARC supports reserved memory areas and per-device coherent DMA allocations we may switch ARC PGU to use of those dedicated areas. One of the benefits we may move frame-buffer area out from IO Coherency aperture and so significantly reduce IOC utilization allowing less demanding peripherals to use all perks of IOC. ARC PGU could be found on some development boards from Synopsys. This is a simple byte streamer that reads data from a framebuffer and sends data to the single encoder.
