| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Rather than having to remember to include config.h anywhere we reference a CONFIG variable (and usually forgetting), this adds it to the default compiler flags so that it gets included in every source file we build. * Update SBE In Istep7.5 In SMF ModeIlya Smirnov2019-08-231-1/+31
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | A bug was discovered on OpenPOWER systems wherein if SMF is enabled, we would checkstop in istep10.1 when trying to XSCOM to the slave proc. The issue was that SBE at that time didn't know we were booting in SMF mode and so didn't set up the XSCOM BAR for the slave proc appropriately. The solution is to force SBE update in istep7.5 if SMF is enabled in the MRW (ATTR_SMF_CONFIG) but SBE doesn't yet know about that (bit 16 in scratch reg6 is not set). | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | There is still some changes coming through for the p9a_mss_freq HWP. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Previously we were using some CUMULUS binaries as placeholders until Axone versions were available. We now use the Axone version of the SBE and HW ref images. Also for MEMD we will now just fill it in with zeroed out ECC (all FF's w/ 0 for ECC bit). No plans to use that MEMD now but setting it aside for DDIMM config overwrites. When we pulled in the new SBE image we hit issues with the VPD being used not having the correct sizes. MVPD for Axone is not complete yet so until that gets resolved we will disable sbe updates for Axone. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | There are two ways to handle the scenario where there is no memory at address zero. a) For systems not running PHYP we swap the entire memory map between each chip. We use ATTR_PROC_EFF_FABRIC_xx to do this. b) For PHYP systems we boot Hostboot into a different address space, leaving a hole at zero. We use ATTR_PROC_MEM_TO_USE to do this. There is a code upgrade issue related to ATTR_PROC_EFF_FABRIC_xx where it can get stuck with the wrong value. If we are running in mode b, we never touch those attributes. This change will force an attribute update to get things back in line. HB will do an sbe update and request re-ipl - If HB deconfigured a bunch of dimms in istep7 and ran out of memory, then we will request a reconfig loop Then, in istep14, we added another sanity check to make sure we have memory as expected to prevent unexpected failure after exiting cache contained mode.
