* package/*/Config.in: fix help text check-package warningsThomas Petazzoni2017-12-181-5/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit fixes the warnings reported by check-package on the help text of all package Config.in files, related to the formatting of the help text: should start with a tab, then 2 spaces, then at most 62 characters. The vast majority of warnings fixed were caused by too long lines. A few warnings were related to spaces being used instead of a tab to indent the help text. * xscreensaver: use the new gettext logicThomas Petazzoni2017-07-052-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | This commit switches to use the new gettext logic, which involves: - using TARGET_NLS_DEPENDENCIES instead of hand-encoded dependencies on gettext/host-gettext - dropping BR2_PACKAGE_GETTEXT selection Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com>

* package: use SPDX short identifier for license string in commentsRahul Bedarkar2017-04-171-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | We have started using SPDX short identifier for license string in <PKG>_LICENSE variable. But license strings in comments are still using old strings. For consistency, use SPDX short identifier in comments as well. * boot, linux, package: use SPDX short identifier for GPLv2/GPLv2+Rahul Bedarkar2017-04-011-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | We want to use SPDX identifier for license strings as much as possible. SPDX short identifier for GPLv2/GPLv2+ is GPL-2.0/GPL-2.0+. This change is done by using following command. find . -name "*.mk" | xargs sed -ri '/LICENSE( )?[\+:]?=/s/\<GPLv2\>/GPL-2.0/g' Signed-off-by: Rahul Bedarkar <rahulbedarkar89@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com>
* packages: improve license type listsDanomi Manchego2017-02-201-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Make license type lists more uniform: * put content license applies to in parenthesis; ex: "GPLv2+ (programs)" * use commas to separate types listed without conjuction; ex: "GPLv2, LGPLv2" No attempt was made to validate the claimed licenses. This is just a tweak to increase uniformity of the _LICENSE variables. * cairo, harfbuzz: rework atomic dependenciesThomas Petazzoni2016-02-061-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit handles the reverse dependency tree of cairo in terms of atomic dependencies. There are two main changes: - cairo in fact no longer needs atomic operations. It can perfectly build without any __sync built-in, as was tested using an ARC toolchain without atomics, and a SPARC toolchain. Optionally, Cairo can use the __atomic builtins provided by gcc >= 4.7, so support for this is added as well. Thanks to this change, the BR2_ARCH_HAS_ATOMICS dependency is removed from cairo and all its reverse dependencies. - harfbuzz does require the __sync built-in for 4 bytes integers, so we add a dependency on BR2_TOOLCHAIN_HAS_SYNC_4 to harfbuzz and all its reverse dependency, the main one being the pango package. Due to this, the vast majority of gtk-related packages are moved to a dependency on BR2_ARCH_HAS_ATOMICS (which used to be due to cairo) to a dependency on BR2_TOOLCHAIN_HAS_SYNC_4 (due to pango -> harfbuzz). In detail: - cairo Remove BR2_ARCH_HAS_ATOMICS dependency, link against -latomic when gcc >= 4.8 in order to use the __atomic functions. - harfbuzz Add dependency on BR2_TOOLCHAIN_HAS_SYNC_4 - cairomm, gst-plugins-good, gst1-plugins-good, libgdiplus, libsvg-cairo, weston Remove BR2_ARCH_HAS_ATOMICS dependency (since cairo no longer needs atomics) - enlightenment, cwiid, gst-plugins-bad, gst-plugins-base, gst1-plugins-bad, gst1-plugins-base, gtkmm3, libevas-generic-loaders, libfm, libgail, libgtk2, libgtk3, librsvg, openbox, opencv, opencv3, pango, pangomm, pcmanfm, pinentry, rrdtool, webkit, webkitgtk24, xscreensaver Switch from a BR2_ARCH_HAS_ATOMICS dependency to a BR2_TOOLCHAIN_HAS_SYNC_4 (they depend on pango, harfbuzz, gtk, or some other related package) - directfb Remove BR2_ARCH_ATOMICS dependency of the BR2_PACKAGE_DIRECTFB_SVG (since cairo can build without atomics), but add a BR2_TOOLCHAIN_HAS_SYNC_4 dependency on BR2_PACKAGE_DIRECTFB itself since it does use __sync built-ins. This replaces the !BR2_sparc dependency. Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com>

* package/xscreensaver: fix linking with intlRomain Naour2014-08-313-2/+36
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | xscreensaver doesn't build with (e)glibc toolchain when gettext package is selected. With (e)glibc libintl is provided by the libc whereas with uClibc it's provided by gettext. If "LIBS=-lintl" is removed from XSCREENSAVER_CONF_ENV, then the -lintl is missing during xscreensaver build if the toolchain needs gettext. xscreensaver.o: In function `main': undefined reference to `libintl_bindtextdomain' undefined reference to `libintl_textdomain' Backport a patch applied in 5.28 that fix linking issue with intl and remove "LIBS=-lintl" from XSCREENSAVER_CONF_ENV. Note: gettext package is always selected with xscreensaver when BR2_NEEDS_GETTEXT is set due to dependencies on libgtk2 and libglib2. * Config.in files: add missing dependencies to toolchain option commentsThomas De Schampheleire2013-11-101-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When a package A depends on config option B and toolchain option C, then the comment that is given when C is not fulfilled should also depend on B. For example: config BR2_PACKAGE_A depends on BR2_B depends on BR2_LARGEFILE depends on BR2_WCHAR comment "A needs a toolchain w/ largefile, wchar" depends on !BR2_LARGEFILE || !BR2_WCHAR This comment should actually be: comment "A needs a toolchain w/ largefile, wchar" depends on BR2_B depends on !BR2_LARGEFILE || !BR2_WCHAR or if possible (typically when B is a package config option declared in that same Config.in file): if BR2_B comment "A needs a toolchain w/ largefile, wchar" depends on !BR2_LARGEFILE || !BR2_WCHAR [other config options depending on B] endif Otherwise, the comment would be visible even though the other dependencies are not met. This patch adds such missing dependencies, and changes existing such dependencies from depends on BR2_BASE_DEP && !BR2_TOOLCHAIN_USES_GLIBC to depends on BR2_BASE_DEP depends on !BR2_TOOLCHAIN_USES_GLIBC so that (positive) base dependencies are separate from the (negative) toolchain dependencies. This strategy makes it easier to write such comments (because one can simply copy the base dependency from the actual package config option), but also avoids complex and long boolean expressions.
