* trousers/tpm-tools: enable on ARCEvgeniy Didin2018-06-281-3/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | With the latest ARC toolchain arc-2018.03 builds of "trousers" and "tpm-tools" packages perform without errors. Lets enable these packages for ARC. With the exception, building tpm-tools for ARC770/750 requires to pass "-mno-compact-casesi" as it was made for trousers before: see patch f4cd8ceb9cfa "trousers: Pass "-mno-compact-casesi" when building for ARCv1". This change is a temporary workaround and the feature is going to be fixed in the next ARC toolchain release version. * package/*/Config.in: fix help text check-package warningsThomas Petazzoni2017-12-181-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit fixes the warnings reported by check-package on the help text of all package Config.in files, related to the formatting of the help text: should start with a tab, then 2 spaces, then at most 62 characters. The vast majority of warnings fixed were caused by too long lines. A few warnings were related to spaces being used instead of a tab to indent the help text. * package/t*/Config.in: fix ordering of statementsAdam Duskett2017-05-021-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The check-package script when ran gives warnings on ordering issues on all of these Config files. This patch cleans up all warnings related to the ordering in the Config files for packages starting with the letter t in the package directory. The appropriate ordering is: type, default, depends on, select, help See http://nightly.buildroot.org/#_config_files for more information. * boot, package: use SPDX short identifier for BSD-3cRahul Bedarkar2017-04-011-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | We want to use SPDX identifier for license string as much as possible. SPDX short identifier for BSD-3c is BSD-3-Clause. This change is done using following command. find . -name "*.mk" | xargs sed -ri '/LICENSE( )?[\+:]?=/s/BSD-3c/BSD-3-Clause/g' Signed-off-by: Rahul Bedarkar <rahulbedarkar89@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com>
* trousers: update ARC commentThomas Petazzoni2017-02-231-1/+1
| | | | | | | | Update the comment about the ARC exception to match the one used in VLC, so that a 'git grep "ARC toolchain issue"' returns the list of packages to re-evaluate on ARC when the ARC toolchain gets upgraded. Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com>
* trousers: disable on ARCThomas Petazzoni2017-02-161-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This package has been failing to build on ARC due to a toolchain bug since December 2015, causing a total of 168 build failures. Therefore, let's disable this package for now, until the toolchain issue gets resolved. * trousers: Pass "-mno-compact-casesi" when building for ARCv1Zakharov Vlad2016-11-231-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Compact casesi patterns don't have a reload version. This causes build failures of "trousers" package for ARC. Current patch disables compact casesi patterns for ARCv1 (750D and 770D) via passing "-mno-compact-casesi" option when compiling "trousers". This change is a temporary workaround and the feature is going to be fixed in the next ARC toolchain release version. * trousers: fix build with muslNoé Rubinstein2016-08-271-0/+80
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The trousers code uses getpwent_r, which is not available in musl. Detect the availability of getpwent_r in the trousers build system, and use it conditionally. This broke the build of tpm-tools because linking with libtspi.so failed. Fixes: http://autobuild.buildroot.net/results/830fc20c68a0653afa5567edffc2ededc4e45cc6 Runtime-tested by running tpm_version in a chroot and verifying that it creates a "user.data" file with both the Buildroot-provided CodeSourcery and Musl toolchains on x86_64. * toolchain: add hidden symbol for PIE supportWaldemar Brodkorb2016-07-241-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | uClibc-ng does not support PIE for some architectures as arc and m68k. It isn't implemented in the static linking case, too. With musl toolchains you might have static PIE support with little patching of gcc. Static linking for GNU libc isn't enabled in buildroot. Fixup any package using special treatment of PIE. * trousers: disable pie option on ARCLada Trimasova2016-02-242-0/+224
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | ARC gcc understands "-pie" option and attempts to generate PIE binaries as of today PIE is not really supported for user-space applications. So we provide option which checks if compiler understands relro and pie options and disable PIE detection if building for ARC. Also AUTORECONF option should be added because of modified configure.in and Makefile.am files. * trousers: remove inline for read_data/write_dataSergio Prado2015-12-261-0/+94
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | read_data and write_data functions are declared with inline, but their definition is not in a .h file. This is causing errors when linking: tcsps.c:(.text+0x4ac): undefined reference to `read_data' tcsps.c:(.text+0x1888): undefined reference to `write_data' ... [Thomas: - use a 'select' instead of a 'depends on' for openssl - select libiconv when locale support is not available, otherwise the build fails due to missing iconv.h - disable on BR2_STATIC_LIBS configurations as it doesn't build.
