* net: tile: remove ethernet driversArnd Bergmann2018-03-261-18/+0
| | | | | | | | The tile architecture is obsolete and getting removed. From all I can tell, later ARM based products use a different ethernet driver, so we should remove this one as well. Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>
* ptp_clock: Allow for it to be optionalNicolas Pitre2016-11-161-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In order to break the hard dependency between the PTP clock subsystem and ethernet drivers capable of being clock providers, this patch provides simple PTP stub functions to allow linkage of those drivers into the kernel even when the PTP subsystem is configured out. Drivers must be ready to accept NULL from ptp_clock_register() in that case. And to make it possible for PTP to be configured out, the select statement in those driver's Kconfig menu entries is converted to the new "imply" statement. This way the PTP subsystem may have Kconfig dependencies of its own, such as POSIX_TIMERS, without having to make those ethernet drivers unavailable if POSIX timers are cconfigured out. And when support for POSIX timers is selected again then the default config option for PTP clock support will automatically be adjusted accordingly. The pch_gbe driver is a bit special as it relies on extra code in drivers/ptp/ptp_pch.c. Therefore we let the make process descend into drivers/ptp/ even if PTP_1588_CLOCK is unselected. * tile_net: Always enable PTP clock support on TILE-GxBen Hutchings2013-12-271-11/+1
| | | | | | | | | All other net drivers with PTP support enable it unconditionally. Make tile_net consistent with this. Signed-off-by: Ben Hutchings <bhutchings@solarflare.com> Acked-by: Chris Metcalf <cmetcalf@tilera.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

* tilegx network driver: initial supportChris Metcalf2012-06-111-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | This change adds support for the tilegx network driver based on the GXIO IORPC support in the tilegx software stack, using the on-chip mPIPE packet processing engine. Signed-off-by: Chris Metcalf <cmetcalf@tilera.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* tile: Move the Tilera driverJeff Kirsher2011-08-121-0/+15
Move the Tilera driver into drivers/net/ethernet/tile and make the necessary Kconfig and Makefile changes. Updated the Kconfig so that the options defualt to y if TILE kernel. CC: Chris Metcalf <cmetcalf@tilera.com> Signed-off-by: Jeff Kirsher <jeffrey.t.kirsher@intel.com>
