* powerpc: mpc824x: remove MPC824X cpu supportMasahiro Yamada2015-01-051-433/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | All the MPC824X boards are still non-generic boards: A3000, CPC45, CU824, eXalion, MVBLUE, MUSENKI, Sandpoint824x, utx8245 Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.m@jp.panasonic.com> Cc: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de> Cc: Josef Wagner <Wagner@Microsys.de> Cc: Torsten Demke <torsten.demke@fci.com> Cc: Jim Thompson <jim@musenki.com> Cc: Greg Allen <gallen@arlut.utexas.edu>
* powerpc: mpc824x: remove redundant CONFIG_MPC824X definitionMasahiro Yamada2014-01-241-1/+0
| | | | | | | We do not have to define CONFIG_MPC824X in board config headers because it is defined in arch/powerpc/cpu/mpc824x/config.mk. Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.m@jp.panasonic.com>

* config: Add a default CONFIG_SYS_PROMPTRob Herring2013-11-041-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | The definitions for CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT are varied with little reason other than to display the board name. Over half the definitions are "==> ", so make this the default. The rest of the boards remain unchanged to avoid breaking any external scripts expecting a certain prompt. * pci: introduce CONFIG_PCI_INDIRECT_BRIDGE optionGabor Juhos2013-06-071-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The pci_indirect.c file is always compiled when CONFIG_PCI is defined although the indirect PCI bridge support is not needed by every board. Introduce a new CONFIG_PCI_INDIRECT_BRIDGE config option and only compile indirect PCI bridge support if this options is enabled. Also add the new option into the configuration files of the boards which needs that. Compile tested for powerpc, x86, arm and nds32. MAKEALL results: powerpc: --------------------- SUMMARY ---------------------------- Boards compiled: 641 Boards with warnings but no errors: 2 ( ELPPC MPC8323ERDB ) ---------------------------------------------------------- Note: the warnings for ELPPC and MPC8323ERDB are present even without the actual patch. x86: --------------------- SUMMARY ---------------------------- Boards compiled: 1 ---------------------------------------------------------- arm: --------------------- SUMMARY ---------------------------- Boards compiled: 311 ---------------------------------------------------------- nds32: --------------------- SUMMARY ---------------------------- Boards compiled: 3 ---------------------------------------------------------- Cc: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com> Cc: Daniel Schwierzeck <daniel.schwierzeck@googlemail.com> Signed-off-by: Gabor Juhos <juhosg@openwrt.org>
* CONFIG_SYS_BAUDRATE_TABLE: Add <config_fallbacks.h>, place thereTom Rini2012-06-201-3/+0
| | | | | | | | | We provide a default table of { 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, 115200 } in <config_fallbacks.h> which mkconfig places after <configs/...h> in the generated config file. This is used when a board has not set its own table. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com>
* board configs: drop NET_MULTI referencesMike Frysinger2011-10-051-1/+0
| | | | | | | Now that none of the core checks CONFIG_NET_MULTI, there's not much point in boards defining it. So scrub all references to it. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>
* Replace CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE by auto-generated valueWolfgang Denk2010-10-261-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE has always been just a bad workarond for not being able to use "sizeof(struct global_data)" in assembler files. Recent experience has shown that manual synchronization is not reliable enough. This patch renames CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE into GENERATED_GBL_DATA_SIZE which gets automatically generated by the asm-offsets tool. In the result, all definitions of this value can be deleted from the board config files. We have to make sure that all files that reference such data include the new <asm-offsets.h> file. No other changes have been done yet, but it is obvious that similar changes / simplifications can be done for other, related macro definitions as well. * Rename CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_END into CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZEWolfgang Denk2010-10-261-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_END was a misnomer as it suggests this might be some end address; to make the meaning more clear we rename it into CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZE No other code changes are performed in this patch, only minor editing of white space (due to the changed length) and the comments was done, where noticed. Note that the code for the PATI and cmi_mpc5xx board configurations looks seriously broken. * powerpc: Cleanup BOOTFLAG_* referencesPeter Tyser2010-10-181-10/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | Now that warm booting is not supported, there isn't a need for the BOOTFLAG_COLD and BOOTFLAG_WARM defines, so remove them. Note that this change makes the board info bd_bootflags field useless. It will always be set to 0, but we leave it around so that we don't break the board info structure that some OSes are expecting to be passed from U-Boot. * Makefile: move all Power Architecture boards into boards.cfgWolfgang Denk2010-10-181-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | Clean up Makefile, and drop a lot of the config.mk files on the way. We now also automatically pick all boards that are listed in boards.cfg (and with all configurations), so we can drop the redundant entries from MAKEALL to avoid building these twice. Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de>
* Rename TEXT_BASE into CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASEWolfgang Denk2010-10-181-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | The change is currently needed to be able to remove the board configuration scripting from the top level Makefile and replace it by a simple, table driven script. Moving this configuration setting into the "CONFIG_*" name space is also desirable because it is needed if we ever should move forward to a Kconfig driven configuration system. * rename CONFIG_CMD_ENV to CONFIG_CMD_SAVEENVMike Frysinger2009-02-181-1/+1
| | | | | | | | The CONFIG_CMD_ENV option controls enablement of the `saveenv` command rather than a generic "env" command, or anything else related to the environment. So, let's make sure the define is named accordingly. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>
