* i2c: Move PPC4xx I2C driver into drivers/i2c directoryStefan Roese2010-04-061-439/+0
| | | | | | | | This patch moves the PPC4xx specific I2C device driver into the I2C drivers directory. All 4xx config headers are updated to include this driver. Signed-off-by: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de>
* ppc4xx: Fix problem with I2C bus >= 1 initializationStefan Roese2010-03-301-1/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch fixes a problem introduced with patch eb5eb2b0 [ppc4xx: Cleanup PPC4xx I2C infrastructure]. We need to assign the I2C base address to the "i2c" pointer inside of the controller loop. Otherwise controller 0 is initialized multiple times instead of initializing each I2C controller sequentially. Tested on Katmai. * ppc4xx: Cleanup PPC4xx I2C infrastructureStefan Roese2009-11-231-102/+97
| | | | | | | | | | | This patch cleans up the PPC4xx I2C intrastructure: - Use C struct to describe the I2C registers instead of defines - Coding style cleanup (braces, whitespace, comments, line length) - Extract common code from i2c_read() and i2c_write() - Remove unneeded IIC defines from ppc405.h & ppc440.h Signed-off-by: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de>
* i2c: Create common default i2c_[set|get]_bus_speed() functionsPeter Tyser2009-06-121-14/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | New default, weak i2c_get_bus_speed() and i2c_set_bus_speed() functions replace a number of architecture-specific implementations. Also, providing default functions will allow all boards to enable CONFIG_I2C_CMD_TREE. This was previously not possible since the tree-form of the i2c command provides the ability to display and modify the i2c bus speed which requires i2c_[set|get]_bus_speed() to be present. * i2c: merge all i2c_reg_read() and i2c_reg_write() into inline functionsTimur Tabi2008-12-151-20/+0
| | | | | | | | | | All implementations of the functions i2c_reg_read() and i2c_reg_write() are identical. We can save space and simplify the code by converting these functions into inlines and putting them in i2c.h. * Big white-space cleanup.Wolfgang Denk2008-05-211-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | This commit gets rid of a huge amount of silly white-space issues. Especially, all sequences of SPACEs followed by TAB characters get removed (unless they appear in print statements). Also remove all embedded "vim:" and "vi:" statements which hide indentation problems. Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de>
* ppc4xx: Fix i2c divisor calcularion for PPC4xxJeffrey Mann2007-04-121-3/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | This patch fixes changes the i2c_init(...) function to use the function get_OPB_freq() rather than calculating the OPB speed by sysInfo.freqPLB/sysInfo.pllOpbDiv. The get_OPB_freq() function is specific per processor. The prior method was not and so was calculating the wrong speed for some PPC4xx processors. * [PATCH] PPC4xx: Add support for multiple I2C bussesStefan Roese2007-02-201-213/+245
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds support for multiple I2C busses on the PPC4xx platforms. Define CONFIG_I2C_MULTI_BUS in the board config file to make use of this feature. It also merges the 405 and 440 i2c header files into one common file 4xx_i2c.h. Also the 4xx i2c reset procedure is reworked since I experienced some problems with the first access on the 440SPe Katmai board. Signed-off-by: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de>
