* powerpc: delete Wind River SBC8560/8540 supportPaul Gortmaker2012-10-171-369/+0
| | | | | | | | The sbc8548/60 (both similar, just variations in UART hardware) support has been removed from the linux kernel as of v3.6-rc1~132 so lets also now remove it from the u-boot tree as well. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>

* mpc85xx boards: initdram() cleanup/bugfixBecky Bruce2011-01-141-92/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Correct initdram to use phys_size_t to represent the size of dram; instead of changing this all over the place, and correcting all the other random errors I've noticed, create a common initdram that is used by all non-corenet 85xx parts. Most of the initdram() functions were identical, with 2 common differences: 1) DDR tlbs for the fixed_sdram case were set up in initdram() on some boards, and were part of the tlb_table on others. I have changed them all over to the initdram() method - we shouldn't be accessing dram before this point so they don't need to be done sooner, and this seems cleaner. 2) Parts that require the DDR11 erratum workaround had different implementations - I have adopted the version from the Freescale errata document. It also looks like some of the versions were buggy, and, depending on timing, could have resulted in the DDR controller being disabled. This seems bad. The xpedite boards had a common/fsl_8xxx_ddr.c; with this change only the 517 board uses this so I have moved the ddr code into that board's directory in xpedite517x.c Signed-off-by: Becky Bruce <beckyb@kernel.crashing.org> Tested-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
* miiphy: convert to linux/mii.hMike Frysinger2011-01-091-3/+3
| | | | | | | | The include/miiphy.h header duplicates a lot of things from linux/mii.h. So punt all the things that overlap to keep the API simple and to make merging between U-Boot and Linux simpler. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>
* net ppc: fix ethernet device names with spacesHeiko Schocher2010-08-091-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | since commit 1384f3bb8a4f9066805b70c1418eda78ecb73fdd ethernet names with spaces drop a Warning: eth device name has a space! message. This patch fix it for: - "FEC ETHERNET" devices found on mpc512x, mpc5xxx, mpc8xx and mpc8220 boards. renamed to "FEC". - "SCC ETHERNET" devices found on mpc8xx, mpc82xx based boards. Renamed to "SCC". - "HDLC ETHERNET" devices found on mpc8xx boards Renamed to "HDLC" - "FCC ETHERNET" devices found on mpc8260 and mpc85xx based boards. Renamed to "FCC" Tested on the kup4k board. * 83xx/85xx/86xx: LBC register cleanupBecky Bruce2010-07-161-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently, 83xx, 86xx, and 85xx have a lot of duplicated code dedicated to defining and manipulating the LBC registers. Merge this into a single spot. To do this, we have to decide on a common name for the data structure that holds the lbc registers - it will now be known as fsl_lbc_t, and we adopt a common name for the immap layouts that include the lbc - this was previously known as either im_lbc or lbus; use the former. In addition, create accessors for the BR/OR regs that use in/out_be32 and use those instead of the mismash of access methods currently in play. I have done a successful ppc build all and tested a board or two from each processor family. * Change initdram() return type to phys_size_tBecky Bruce2008-06-121-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch changes the return type of initdram() from long int to phys_size_t. This is required for a couple of reasons: long int limits the amount of dram to 2GB, and u-boot in general is moving over to phys_size_t to represent the size of physical memory. phys_size_t is defined as an unsigned long on almost all current platforms. This patch *only* changes the return type of the initdram function (in include/common.h, as well as in each board's implementation of initdram). It does not actually modify the code inside the function on any of the platforms; platforms which wish to support more than 2GB of DRAM will need to modify their initdram() function code. Build tested with MAKEALL for ppc, arm, mips, mips-el. Booted on powerpc MPC8641HPCN. Signed-off-by: Becky Bruce <becky.bruce@freescale.com>
* Remove erroneous or extra spd.h #includers.Jon Loeliger2008-03-051-4/+2
| | | | | | | | | | Many of the spd.h #includers don't need it, and wanted to have spd_sdram() declared instead. Since they didn't get that, some also had open coded extern declarations of it instead or as well. Fix it all up by using spd_sdram.h where needed. Signed-off-by: Jon Loeliger <jdl@freescale.com>
