* omap-common: Common get_board_serial function to pass serial through ATAGPaul Kocialkowski2015-10-221-0/+18
| | | | | | | | | Since there is a common function to grab the serial number from the die id bits, it makes sense have one to parse that serial number and feed it to the serial ATAG. Signed-off-by: Paul Kocialkowski <contact@paulk.fr> Reviewed-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
* omap-common: Common function to display die id, replacing omap3-specific versionPaul Kocialkowski2015-10-221-0/+10
| | | | | | | | | This introduces omap_die_id_display to display the full die id. There is no need to store it in an environment variable, that no boot script is using anyway. Signed-off-by: Paul Kocialkowski <contact@paulk.fr> Reviewed-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
* omap-common: Common serial and usbethaddr functions based on die idPaul Kocialkowski2015-10-221-22/+27
| | | | | | | | | Now that we have a common prototype to grab the omap die id, functions to figure out a serial number and usb ethernet address can use it directly. Those also get an omap_die_id prefix for better consistency. Signed-off-by: Paul Kocialkowski <contact@paulk.fr> Reviewed-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
* omap-common: Common omap_die_id definitionPaul Kocialkowski2015-10-221-0/+5
| | | | | | | | This introduces a common definition for omap_die_id, that aims at providing a common interface for accessing omap platform's die id bits. Signed-off-by: Paul Kocialkowski <contact@paulk.fr> Reviewed-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
* ARM: DRA7: Set serial number environment variableDileep Katta2015-04-231-0/+13
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch populates serial number environment variable from die_id_0 and die_id_1 register values for DRA7xx boards. The function is added in omap common code so that this can be re-used. Serial# environment variable will be useful to show correct information in "fastboot devices" commands. * OMAP: common: consolidate fake USB ethernet MAC address creationNishanth Menon2014-04-171-0/+21
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | TI platforms such as OMAP5uevm, PandaBoard, use equivalent logic to generate fake USB MAC address from device unique DIE ID. Consolidate this to a generic location such that other TI platforms such as BeagleBoard-XM can also use the same. NOTE: at this point in time, I dont yet see a need for a generic dummy ethernet MAC address creation function, but if there is a need in the future, this can be further abstracted out. * omap4: calculate EMIF register valuesAneesh V2011-08-031-0/+57
Calculate EMIF register values based on AC timing parameters from the SDRAM datasheet and the DDR frequency rather than using the hard-coded values. For a new board the user doen't have to go through the tedious process of calculating the register values. Instead, just provide the AC timings from the device data sheet as input and the driver will automatically calculate the register values.
