* [llvm-readobj][test] - Move platform specific test cases and their inputs to ↵Georgii Rymar2019-12-1026-1547/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | separate folders. This creates the next subfolders in the test directory: "COFF", "ELF", "MachO", "wasm". I've also removed platform specific prefixes, like "coff-*". One unused binary was removed as well: `Inputs/relocs.obj.elf-mips` Differential revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D71203
* [llvm-readobj/llvm-readelf] Delete --arm-attributes (alias for --arch-specific)Fangrui Song2019-10-012-4/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | D68110 added --arch-specific (supported by GNU readelf) and made --arm-attributes an alias for it. The tests were later migrated to use --arch-specific. Note, llvm-readelf --arch-specific currently just uses llvm-readobj style output for ARM attributes. The readelf-style output is not implemented. * [llvm-readobj] Rename --arm-attributes to --arch-specificYi Kong2019-09-2723-21/+29
| | | | | | | | | This is for compatibility with GNU readobj. --arm-attributes option is left as a hidden alias due to large number of tests using it. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D68110 llvm-svn: 373125

* [llvm-readobj] Change -long-option to --long-option in tests. NFCFangrui Song2019-05-0123-23/+23
| | | | | | | | | | We use both -long-option and --long-option in tests. Switch to --long-option for consistency. In the "llvm-readelf" mode, -long-option is discouraged as it conflicts with grouped short options and it is not accepted by GNU readelf. While updating the tests, change llvm-readobj -s to llvm-readobj -S to reduce confusion ("s" is --section-headers in llvm-readobj but --symbols in llvm-readelf). llvm-svn: 359649
* llvm-readobj: Try the DWARF CFI dumper on all machines.Peter Collingbourne2019-02-281-0/+27
| | | | | | | | | | | | There's no reason to limit the DWARF CFI dumper to EM_386 and EM_X86_64; ELF files could contain DWARF CFI on almost any platform (even 32-bit ARM; NetBSD uses DWARF CFI on that platform). So start using the DWARF CFI dumper unconditionally so that we can dump .eh_frame sections on the remaining ELF platforms as well as in NetBSD binaries. * [ARM] Add DSP build attribute and extension targetingBradley Smith2016-01-252-0/+14
| | | | | | | | This patch was originally committed as r257885, but was reverted due to windows failures. The cause of these failures has been fixed under r258677, hence re-committing the original patch. llvm-svn: 258683

* Emit the build attribute Tag_conformance.Charlie Turner2015-01-052-0/+16
| | | | | | | | | | | Claim conformance to version 2.09 of the ARM ABI. This build attribute must be emitted first amongst the build attributes when written to an object file. This is to simplify conformance detection by consumers. Change-Id: If9eddcfc416bc9ad6e5cc8cdcb05d0031af7657e llvm-svn: 225166

For cases where there are an infinite number of such values, a representative subset has been settled for. Change-Id: I2643c9624c211b2d56405306e16eec2d487bc5d6 llvm-svn: 222917
* Stop uppercasing build attribute data.Charlie Turner2014-11-271-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The string data for string-valued build attributes were being unconditionally uppercased. There is no mention in the ARM ABI addenda about case conventions, so it's technically implementation defined as to whether the data are capitialised in some way or not. However, there are good reasons not to captialise the data. * It's less work. * Some vendors may legitimately have case-sensitive checks for these attributes which would fail on LLVM generated object files. * There could be locale issues with uppercasing. The original reasons for uppercasing appear to have stemmed from an old codesourcery toolchain behaviour, see http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.compilers.llvm.cvs/87133 This patch makes the object file emitted no longer captialise string data, it encodes as seen in the assembly source. * tools: add support for decoding ARM attributesSaleem Abdulrasool2014-01-301-0/+287
| | | | | | | | Enhance the ARM specific parsing support in llvm-readobj to support attributes. This allows for simpler tests to validate encoding of the build attributes as specified in the ARM ELF specification. llvm-svn: 200450
* tools: support decoding ARM EHABI opcodes in readobjSaleem Abdulrasool2014-01-211-23/+146
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add support to llvm-readobj to decode the actual opcodes. The ARM EHABI opcodes are a variable length instruction set that describe the operations required for properly unwinding stack frames. The primary motivation for this change is to ease the creation of tests for the ARM EHABI object emission as well as the unwinding directive handling in the ARM IAS. Appease the buildbots for targets which do not build the ARM support by moving the ARM specific test into a subdirectory and use the lit configuration to disable them appropriately. Thanks to chapuni and thakis for explaining how to do this! llvm-svn: 198736
