The reversion apparently deleted the test/Transforms directory.
Will be re-reverting again.

As it's causing some bot failures (and per request from kbarton).
This reverts commit r358543/ab70da07286e618016e78247e4a24fcb84077fda.

This doesn't solve PR34046 (failure to recognize rotate):
https://bugs.llvm.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34046
...but it reduces an extra complication in the description examples
to a form that we can more easily match.

This canonicalization was suggested in D33172 as a way to make InstCombine behavior more uniform.
We have this transform for icmp+br, so unless there's some reason that icmp+select should be
treated differently, we should do the same thing here.
The benefit comes from increasing the chances of creating identical instructions. This is shown in
the tests in logical-select.ll (PR32791). InstCombine doesn't fold those directly, but EarlyCSE
can simplify the identical cmps, and then InstCombine can fold the selects together.
The possible regression for the tests in select.ll raises questions about poison/undef:
http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2017-May/113261.html
...but that transform is just as likely to be triggered by this canonicalization as it is to be
missed, so we're just pointing out a commutation deficiency in the pattern matching:

If <src> is non-zero we can safely set the flag to true, and this
results in less code generated for, e.g. ffs(x) + 1 on FreeBSD.
Thanks to majnemer for suggesting the fix and reviewing.
Code generated before the patch was applied:
0: 0f bc c7 bsf %edi,%eax
3: b9 20 00 00 00 mov $0x20,%ecx
8: 0f 45 c8 cmovne %eax,%ecx
b: 83 c1 02 add $0x2,%ecx
e: b8 01 00 00 00 mov $0x1,%eax
13: 85 ff test %edi,%edi
15: 0f 45 c1 cmovne %ecx,%eax
18: c3 retq
Code generated after the patch was applied:
0: 0f bc cf bsf %edi,%ecx
3: 83 c1 02 add $0x2,%ecx
6: 85 ff test %edi,%edi
8: b8 01 00 00 00 mov $0x1,%eax
d: 0f 45 c1 cmovne %ecx,%eax
10: c3 retq
It seems we can still use cmove and save another 'test' instruction, but
that can be tackled separately.

Summary:
As a starting step, we only use one simple heuristic: if the sign bits
of both a and b are zero, we can prove "add a, b" do not unsigned
overflow, and thus convert it to "add nuw a, b".
Updated all affected tests and added two new tests (@zero_sign_bit and
@zero_sign_bit2) in AddOverflow.ll
Test Plan: make check-all

The code was actually correct. Sorry for the confusion. I have expanded the
comment saying why the analysis is valid to avoid me misunderstaning it
again in the future.

This reverts commit r210029.
It was not correctly handling cases where LHS and RHS had multiple but different
sign bits.

We already had a function for checking this, we were just using it only in
specialized cases.

Various tests had sprung up over the years which had --check-prefix=ABC on the
RUN line, but "CHECK-ABC:" later on. This happened to work before, but was
strictly incorrect. FileCheck is getting stricter soon though.

This patch migrates the ffs* optimizations from the simplify-libcalls
pass into the instcombine library call simplifier.
