* [opaque pointer type] Add textual IR support for explicit type parameter to ↵David Blaikie2015-02-271-1/+1

A similar migration script can be used to update test cases, though a few more test case improvements/changes were required this time around: (r229269-r229278) import fileinput import sys import re pat = re.compile(r"((?:=|:|^)\s*load (?:atomic )?(?:volatile )?(.*?))(| addrspace\(\d+\) *)\*($| *(?:%|@|null|undef|blockaddress|getelementptr|addrspacecast|bitcast|inttoptr|\[\[[a-zA-Z]|\{\{).*$)") for line in sys.stdin: sys.stdout.write(re.sub(pat, r"\1, \2\3*\4", line)) Reviewers: rafael, dexonsmith, grosser Differential Revision: http://reviews.llvm.org/D7649 llvm-svn: 230794

* Disable statistics on Release builds and move tests that depend on -stats.Jan Wen Voung2013-03-081-51/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Summary: Statistics are still available in Release+Asserts (any +Asserts builds), and stats can also be turned on with LLVM_ENABLE_STATS. Move some of the FastISel stats that were moved under DEBUG() back out of DEBUG(), since stats are disabled across the board now. Many tests depend on grepping "-stats" output. Move those into a orig_dir/Stats/. so that they can be marked as unsupported when building without statistics. Differential Revision: http://llvm-reviews.chandlerc.com/D486 llvm-svn: 176733
* Add a much more conservative strategy for aligning branch targets.Chandler Carruth2012-08-071-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Previously, MBP essentially aligned every branch target it could. This bloats code quite a bit, especially non-looping code which has no real reason to prefer aligned branch targets so heavily. As Andy said in review, it's still a bit odd to do this without a real cost model, but this at least has much more plausible heuristics. Fixes PR13265. llvm-svn: 161409

For X86, that means machine LICM will hoist SQRT, DIV, etc. ARM will be somewhat aggressive with VFP and NEON instructions. - Enable register pressure aware machine LICM by default. llvm-svn: 116781

For now, the AsmParser, BitcodeReader, and IRBuilder all preserve backwards compatability, and the Core LLVM APIs preserve backwards compatibility for IR producers. Most front-ends won't need to change immediately. This implements the first step of the plan outlined here: http://nondot.org/sabre/LLVMNotes/IntegerOverflow.txt llvm-svn: 72897
