* [CodeGen] Always use `printReg` to print registers in both MIR and debugFrancis Visoiu Mistrih2017-11-301-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | output As part of the unification of the debug format and the MIR format, always use `printReg` to print all kinds of registers. Updated the tests using '_' instead of '%noreg' until we decide which one we want to be the default one. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D40421 llvm-svn: 319445

* [ARM] Promote helper function to SelectionDAG.Chad Rosier2015-10-071-0/+9
| | | | | | | | | I'll be using the function in a similar combine for AArch64. The helper was also improved to handle undef values. Part of http://reviews.llvm.org/D13442 llvm-svn: 249572
* [ARM] Prevent PerformVDIVCombine from combining a vcvt/vdiv with 8 lanes.Chad Rosier2015-10-071-0/+8
| | | | | | This would result in a crash since the vcvt used does not support v8i32 types. llvm-svn: 249560

A similar migration script can be used to update test cases, though a few more test case improvements/changes were required this time around: (r229269-r229278) import fileinput import sys import re pat = re.compile(r"((?:=|:|^)\s*load (?:atomic )?(?:volatile )?(.*?))(| addrspace\(\d+\) *)\*($| *(?:%|@|null|undef|blockaddress|getelementptr|addrspacecast|bitcast|inttoptr|\[\[[a-zA-Z]|\{\{).*$)") for line in sys.stdin: sys.stdout.write(re.sub(pat, r"\1, \2\3*\4", line)) Reviewers: rafael, dexonsmith, grosser Differential Revision: http://reviews.llvm.org/D7649 llvm-svn: 230794

* ARM: ensure fixed-point conversions have sane typesTim Northover2013-06-281-0/+41
| | | | | | | | | | | We were generating intrinsics for NEON fixed-point conversions that didn't exist (e.g. float -> i16). There are two cases to consider: + iN is smaller than float. In this case we can do the conversion but need an extend or truncate as well. + iN is larger than float. In this case using the NEON conversion would be incorrect so we don't perform any combining. llvm-svn: 185158
* TBAA: remove !tbaa from testing cases if not used.Manman Ren2013-04-301-11/+6

* The Neon VCVT (between floating-point and fixed-point, Advanced SIMD) Chad Rosier2011-06-241-0/+102
instructions can be used to match combinations of multiply/divide and VCVT (between floating-point and integer, Advanced SIMD). Basically the VCVT immediate operand that specifies the number of fraction bits corresponds to a floating-point multiply or divide by the corresponding power of 2. For example, VCVT (floating-point to fixed-point, Advanced SIMD) can replace a combination of VMUL and VCVT (floating-point to integer) as follows: Example (assume d17 = <float 8.000000e+00, float 8.000000e+00>): vmul.f32 d16, d17, d16 vcvt.s32.f32 d16, d16 becomes: vcvt.s32.f32 d16, d16, #3 Similarly, VCVT (fixed-point to floating-point, Advanced SIMD) can replace a combinations of VCVT (integer to floating-point) and VDIV as follows: Example (assume d17 = <float 8.000000e+00, float 8.000000e+00>): vcvt.f32.s32 d16, d16 vdiv.f32 d16, d17, d16 becomes: vcvt.f32.s32 d16, d16, #3 llvm-svn: 133813
