* Replace "no-frame-pointer-*" function attributes with "frame-pointer"Francis Visoiu Mistrih2019-01-141-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Part of the effort to refactoring frame pointer code generation. We used to use two function attributes "no-frame-pointer-elim" and "no-frame-pointer-elim-non-leaf" to represent three kinds of frame pointer usage: (all) frames use frame pointer, (non-leaf) frames use frame pointer, (none) frame use frame pointer. This CL makes the idea explicit by using only one enum function attribute "frame-pointer" Option "-frame-pointer=" replaces "-disable-fp-elim" for tools such as llc. "no-frame-pointer-elim" and "no-frame-pointer-elim-non-leaf" are still supported for easy migration to "frame-pointer". tests are mostly updated with // replace command line args ‘-disable-fp-elim=false’ with ‘-frame-pointer=none’ grep -iIrnl '\-disable-fp-elim=false' * | xargs sed -i '' -e "s/-disable-fp-elim=false/-frame-pointer=none/g" // replace command line args ‘-disable-fp-elim’ with ‘-frame-pointer=all’ grep -iIrnl '\-disable-fp-elim' * | xargs sed -i '' -e "s/-disable-fp-elim/-frame-pointer=all/g" Patch by Yuanfang Chen (tabloid.adroit)! * Enable EHABI by defaultRenato Golin2014-01-291-3/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | After all hard work to implement the EHABI and with the test-suite passing, it's time to turn it on by default and allow users to disable it as a work-around while we fix the eventual bugs that show up. This commit also remove the -arm-enable-ehabi-descriptors, since we want the tables to be printed every time the EHABI is turned on for non-Darwin ARM targets. Although MCJIT EHABI is not working yet (needs linking with the right libraries), this commit also fixes some relocations on MCJIT regarding the EH tables/lib calls, and update some tests to avoid using EH tables when none are needed. The EH tests in the test-suite that were previously disabled on ARM now pass with these changes, so a follow-up commit on the test-suite will re-enable them. llvm-svn: 200388
* An option to selectively enable part of ARM EHABI support.Evgeniy Stepanov2012-01-241-0/+1
| | | | | | | | This change adds an new option --arm-enable-ehabi-descriptors that enables emitting unwinding descriptors. This provides a mode with a working backtrace() without the (currently broken) exception support. llvm-svn: 148800
* Revert r148686 (and r148694, a fix to it) due to a serious layeringChandler Carruth2012-01-241-3/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | violation -- MC cannot depend on CodeGen. Specifically, the MCTargetDesc component of each target is actually a subcomponent of the MC library. As such, it cannot depend on the target-independent code generator, because MC itself cannot depend on the target-independent code generator. This change moved a flag from the ARM MCTargetDesc file ARMMCAsmInfo.cpp to the CodeGen layer in ARMException.cpp, leaving behind an 'extern' to refer back to it. That layering order isn't viable givin the constraints outlined above. Commandline flags are designed to be static specifically to avoid these types of bugs. Fixing this is likely going to require some non-trivial refactoring. llvm-svn: 148759

| | | | | | | | This change adds an new value to the --arm-enable-ehabi option that disables emitting unwinding descriptors. This mode gives a working backtrace() without the (currently broken) exception support. llvm-svn: 148686
