We checked this carefully with the Foundation's lawyer and we believe this is the correct approach. Essentially, all code in the project is now made available by the LLVM project under our new license, so you will see that the license headers include that license only. The rest of EVT is used in codegen making CodeGen a better place for it. The previous code converted a Type* to EVT and then called getEVTString. This was only expected to handle the primitive types from Type*. Since there only a few primitive types, we can just print them as strings directly.
