* Move EH-specific helper functions to a more appropriate placeDavid Majnemer2015-12-021-47/+0
| | | | | | No functionality change is intended. llvm-svn: 254562
* [WinEH] Recognize CoreCLR personality functionJoseph Tremoulet2015-10-061-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Summary: - Add CoreCLR to if/else ladders and switches as appropriate. - Rename isMSVCEHPersonality to isFuncletEHPersonality to better reflect what it captures. Reviewers: majnemer, andrew.w.kaylor, rnk Subscribers: pgavlin, AndyAyers, llvm-commits Differential Revision: http://reviews.llvm.org/D13449 llvm-svn: 249455
* [EH] Handle non-Function personalities like unknown personalitiesReid Kleckner2015-08-311-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | Also delete and simplify a lot of MachineModuleInfo code that used to be needed to handle personalities on landingpads. Now that the personality is on the LLVM Function, we no longer need to track it this way on MMI. Certainly it should not live on LandingPadInfo. llvm-svn: 246478
* [PM/AA] Delete the LibCallAliasAnalysis and all the associatedChandler Carruth2015-08-151-44/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | infrastructure. This AA was never used in tree. It's infrastructure also completely overlaps that of TargetLibraryInfo which is used heavily by BasicAA to achieve similar goals to those stated for this analysis. As has come up in several discussions, the use case here is still really important, but this code isn't helping move toward that use case. Any progress on better supporting rich AA information for runtime library environments would likely be better off starting from scratch or starting from TargetLibraryInfo than from this base. * Move the personality function from LandingPadInst to FunctionDavid Majnemer2015-06-171-3/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The personality routine currently lives in the LandingPadInst. This isn't desirable because: - All LandingPadInsts in the same function must have the same personality routine. This means that each LandingPadInst beyond the first has an operand which produces no additional information. - There is ongoing work to introduce EH IR constructs other than LandingPadInst. Moving the personality routine off of any one particular Instruction and onto the parent function seems a lot better than have N different places a personality function can sneak onto an exceptional function. * [WinEH] Start EH preparation for 32-bit x86, it uses no argumentsReid Kleckner2015-04-291-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | 32-bit x86 MSVC-style exceptions are functionaly similar to 64-bit, but they take no arguments. Instead, they implicitly use the value of EBP passed in by the caller as a pointer to the parent's frame. In LLVM, we can represent this as llvm.frameaddress(1), and feed that into all of our calls to llvm.framerecover. The next steps are: - Add an alloca to the fs:00 linked list of handlers - Add something like llvm.sjlj.lsda or generalize it to store in the alloca - Move state number calculation to WinEHPrepare, arrange for FunctionLoweringInfo to call it - Use the state numbers to insert explicit loads and stores in the IR llvm-svn: 236172
* Stop calling DwarfEHPrepare from WinEHPrepareReid Kleckner2015-03-121-12/+0
| | | | | | | | Instead, run both EH preparation passes, and have them both ignore functions with unrecognized EH personalities. Pass delegation involved some hacky code for creating an AnalysisResolver that we don't need now. llvm-svn: 231995
* Unify the two EH personality classification routines I wroteReid Kleckner2015-02-141-2/+2
| | | | | | We only need one. llvm-svn: 229193
* Don't promote asynch EH invokes of nounwind functions to callsReid Kleckner2015-02-111-1/+24
| | | | | | | | | | | If the landingpad of the invoke is using a personality function that catches asynch exceptions, then it can catch a trap. Also add some landingpads to invalid LLVM IR test cases that lack them. Over-the-shoulder reviewed by David Majnemer. llvm-svn: 228782
* Move EH personality type classification to Analysis/LibCallSemantics.hReid Kleckner2015-01-281-0/+16
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Summary: Also add enum types for __C_specific_handler and _CxxFrameHandler3 for which we know a few things. Reviewers: majnemer Subscribers: llvm-commits Differential Revision: http://reviews.llvm.org/D7214 llvm-svn: 227284

* [C++11] More 'nullptr' conversion. In some cases just using a boolean check ↵Craig Topper2014-04-151-2/+2

* Move all of the header files which are involved in modelling the LLVM IRChandler Carruth2013-01-021-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | into their new header subdirectory: include/llvm/IR. This matches the directory structure of lib, and begins to correct a long standing point of file layout clutter in LLVM. There are still more header files to move here, but I wanted to handle them in separate commits to make tracking what files make sense at each layer easier. The only really questionable files here are the target intrinsic tablegen files. But that's a battle I'd rather not fight today. I've updated both CMake and Makefile build systems (I think, and my tests think, but I may have missed something). I've also re-sorted the includes throughout the project. I'll be committing updates to Clang, DragonEgg, and Polly momentarily. llvm-svn: 171366
* Thread const correctness through a bunch of AliasAnalysis interfaces andDan Gohman2010-08-031-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | eliminate several const_casts. Make CallSite implicitly convertible to ImmutableCallSite. Rename the getModRefBehavior for intrinsic IDs to getIntrinsicModRefBehavior to avoid overload ambiguity with CallSite, which happens to be implicitly convertible to bool. llvm-svn: 110155

* Convert StringMap to using StringRef for its APIs.Daniel Dunbar2009-07-231-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | - Yay for '-'s and simplifications! - I kept StringMap::GetOrCreateValue for compatibility purposes, this can eventually go away. Likewise the StringMapEntry Create functions still follow the old style. - NIFC. llvm-svn: 76888
* Add a new interface for describing the behavior of library calls. ThisChris Lattner2008-05-071-0/+65
Currently is sufficient to describe mod/ref behavior but will hopefully eventually be extended for other purposes. This isn't used by anything yet. llvm-svn: 50820
