* [cmake] Allow config.guess to be run with MSYS on WindowsPengxuan Zheng2019-06-261-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Summary: With r363420, config.guess can no longer be run with MSYS on Windows and this patch should be able to fix this particular case. * build: don't attempt to run config.guess on WindowsSaleem Abdulrasool2019-06-141-10/+14
| | | | | | | | | | | When cross-compiling LLVM to android from Windows (for LLVMSupport), we would attempt to execute `config.guess` to determine the host triple since `CMAKE_SYSTEM_NAME` is not Windows and `CMAKE_C_COMPILER` will be set to GNU or Clang. This will fail as `config.guess` is a shell script which cannot be executed on Windows. Simply log a warning instead. The user can specify the value for this instead in those cases. llvm-svn: 363420
* Use AIX version detection at LLVM run-timeHubert Tong2019-03-131-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Summary: AIX compilers define macros based on the version of the operating system. This patch implements updating of versionless AIX triples to include the host AIX version. Also, the host triple detection in the build system is adjusted to strip the AIX version information so that the run-time detection is preferred. * [CMake] Use normalized Windows target triplesPetr Hosek2018-08-091-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | Changes the default Windows target triple returned by GetHostTriple.cmake from the old environment names (which we wanted to move away from) to newer, normalized ones. This also requires updating all tests to use the new systems names in constraints. Differential Revision: https://reviews.llvm.org/D47381 llvm-svn: 339307

* [Support] Avoid normalization in sys::getDefaultTargetTriplePetr Hosek2018-05-181-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The return value of sys::getDefaultTargetTriple, which is derived from -DLLVM_DEFAULT_TRIPLE, is used to construct tool names, default target, and in the future also to control the search path directly; as such it should be used textually, without interpretation by LLVM. Normalization of this value may lead to unexpected results, for example if we configure LLVM with -DLLVM_DEFAULT_TARGET_TRIPLE=x86_64-linux-gnu, normalization will transform that value to x86_64--linux-gnu. Driver will use that value to search for tools prefixed with x86_64--linux-gnu- which may be confusing. This is also inconsistent with the behavior of the --target flag which is taken as-is without any normalization and overrides the value of LLVM_DEFAULT_TARGET_TRIPLE. Users of sys::getDefaultTargetTriple already perform their own normalization as needed, so this change shouldn't impact existing logic. * [cmake] Determine MSVC host triple correctly when cross-compilingShoaib Meenai2017-12-131-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CMAKE_CL_64 will never be set when cross-compiling with clang-cl, since CMake relies on an actual VS environment in order to determine it. Instead, use the size of a void pointer to determine the bit width of the host compiler (and therefore the host triple), which works for both native and cross compilation. Note that, with the impending advent of Windows on AArch64, assuming that a 64-bit host == x86_64 isn't correct either, but that's something to be addressed in a follow-up. * Improve CMake output of host and target tripleChris Bieneman2016-09-271-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Summary: The previous output was confusing as it would output "Taget triple: x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu" even when LLVM_HOST_TRIPLE or LLVM_DEFAULT_TARGET_TRIPLE were set on the CMake command line Patch by: Alex Richardson!
