* Add support for FreeBSD's LD_32_LIBRARY_PATHDimitry Andric2019-08-101-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Summary: Because the dynamic linker for 32-bit executables on 64-bit FreeBSD uses the environment variable `LD_32_LIBRARY_PATH` instead of `LD_LIBRARY_PATH` to find needed dynamic libraries, running the 32-bit parts of the dynamic ASan tests will fail with errors similar to: ``` ld-elf32.so.1: Shared object "libclang_rt.asan-i386.so" not found, required by "Asan-i386-inline-Dynamic-Test" ``` This adds support for setting up `LD_32_LIBRARY_PATH` for the unit and regression tests. It will likely also require a minor change to the `TestingConfig` class in `llvm/utils/lit/lit`. | | | | | | | | | | Running lit tests and unit tests of ASan and TSan on macOS has very bad performance when running with a high number of threads. This is caused by xnu (the macOS kernel), which currently doesn't handle mapping and unmapping of sanitizer shadow regions (reserved VM which are several terabytes large) very well. The situation is so bad that increasing the number of threads actually makes the total testing time larger. The macOS buildbots are affected by this. Note that we can't easily limit the number of sanitizer testing threads without affecting the rest of the tests. This patch adds a special "group" into lit, and limits the number of concurrently running tests in this group. This helps solve the contention problem, while still allowing other tests to run in full, that means running lit with -j8 will still with 8 threads, and parallelism is only limited in sanitizer tests. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit changes the strategy for building shared ASan runtime and the way we test it: - COMPILER_RT_BUILD_SHARED_ASAN CMake option is removed. We now always build shared ASan runtime (it is the default on Android, Windows and Mac, and not the default on Linux and FreeBSD). - Platforms, which use static runtime by default now have "check-asan-dynamic" testsuite. This testsuite contains instrumented unit tests, and ASan lit tests, and runs them with shared ASan runtime. This testsuite is *not* a part of "check-asan" and *not* a part of "check-all", as adding 1000 more test cases, which duplicate existing ones is costly.
