* package/u*/Config.in: fix ordering of statementsAdam Duskett2017-05-021-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The check-package script when ran gives warnings on ordering issues on all of these Config files. This patch cleans up all warnings related to the ordering in the Config files for packages starting with the letter u in the package directory. The appropriate ordering is: type, default, depends on, select, help See http://nightly.buildroot.org/#_config_files for more information. * udev: update udev to new virtual package infra.eric.le.bihan.dev@free.fr2014-02-251-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The udev virtual package and its current providers (eudev and systemd) have been updated to use the latest version of virtual package infrastructure. A provider should now select BR2_PACKAGE_HAS_UDEV and well as set a value for BR2_PACKAGE_PROVIDES_UDEV. * udev: convert to virtual packageeric.le.bihan.dev@free.fr2014-02-121-46/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch converts udev to a virtual package. For the moment, there is only one provider for the udev features: eudev. Packages meant to provide udev-like features must select the symbol BR2_PACKAGE_HAS_UDEV. Packages depending on BR2_ROOTFS_DEVICE_CREATION_DYNAMIC_UDEV or BR2_PACKAGE_UDEV have been converted to use the new symbol. * kmod: does not support static buildsThomas Petazzoni2013-09-021-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | Since kmod 14, the support for building a static library has been removed completely from kmod. Therefore, we mark kmod as !BR2_PREFER_STATIC_LIB, as well as all its reverse dependencies, which includes the option to use the "udev" /dev management method. * libglib2: needs threadsSpenser Gilliland2013-07-271-0/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit adds a dependency of the libglib2 package on thread support in the toolchain, since upstream libglib2 doesn't build without thread support. The commit is rather large as it involves propagating the dependency on thread support to all reverse dependencies of the libglib2 package. [Thomas: squash all patches into one, make a few minor fixes, the most important one being to not add comments about MMU requirement when a package doesn't work on !MMU platforms.] Signed-off-by: Spenser Gilliland <spenser@gillilanding.com>
* udev: bump to 181 and other fixesYegor Yefremov2012-02-081-9/+13
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Changes: - Linux kernel requirement: 2.6.34 and above (devtmpfs is mandatory) (this also applies to the chosen toolchain, because of Kernel headers) - optional dependency on libusb and usbutils removed - added dependency on kmod - added dependency on util-linux for libblkid - install in /lib/udev instead of /usr/libexec/udev - udevd moved to /lib/udev - fixed path to pci.ids and usb.ids - persistent rules generator is disabled by default, so option is introduced to enable this option if desired [Peter: fix build on uClibc, Config.in tweaks] Signed-off-by: Yegor Yefremov <yegorslists@googlemail.com> Signed-off-by: Arnout Vandecappelle (Essensium/Mind) <arnout@mind.be> Signed-off-by: Peter Korsgaard <jacmet@sunsite.dk>
* udev: ensure /dev mgmt option is in syncPeter Korsgaard2011-08-151-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | These options should be in sync, both for consistency and because udev needs devtmpfs enabled in the kernel. We unfortunately cannot just select BR2_ROOTFS_DEVICE_CREATION_DYNAMIC_UDEV here, as that one selects udev - leading to recursion erors, so instead we use depends on. * uClibc: drop BR2_PROGRAM_INVOCATION optionPeter Korsgaard2011-07-271-3/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | Remove the BR option and enable the configuration setting in the uClibc defconfigs. The BR2_PROGRAM_INVOCATION option only adds very little overhead to uClibc, and we have a number of packages needing it, so simply always enable it - Simplifying the kconfig logic and the number of choices users have to make.
