* package/acpid: fix acpid.service permissionsJames Hilliard2018-12-131-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | Execution permissions cause systemd to throw runtime warnings since systemd service files are essentially a type of configuration file and are not designed to be executed like init scripts. * package/acpid: add systemd serviceAlexander Sverdlin2018-11-132-0/+17
| | | | | | | This one is based on Archlinux's service file. Signed-off-by: Alexander Sverdlin <alexander.sverdlin@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@bootlin.com>
* acpid: use shutdown for poweroff, if available, not /sbin/poweroffCarlos Santos2018-09-101-1/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | It's preferable to use "shutdown -hP now" to ensure that the runlevel is known, preventing this message on the system console and log: WARNING: could not determine runlevel - doing soft poweroff (it's better to use shutdown instead of poweroff from the command line) Signed-off-by: Carlos Santos <casantos@datacom.com.br> Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@bootlin.com>
* acpid: depends on BR2_USE_MMUFabrice Fontaine2018-09-091-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | acpid needs fork Fixes: - http://autobuild.buildroot.org/results/2cb0435d36a2aa2d75b6c1dfecc93bb49b0f6266 Signed-off-by: Fabrice Fontaine <fontaine.fabrice@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@bootlin.com>
* acpid: drop x86 architecture dependencyPeter Korsgaard2018-08-291-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Closes #11241 While ACPI is historically exclusively a x86 feature, ia64 and (some) arm64 server platforms also use it. Furthermore, even if the firmware does not provide an ACPI interface and/or the kernel is not built with ACPI support, acpid can still be used to command an orderly shutdown of the system as it also listens for KEY_POWER / KEY_SUSPEND events from the input subsystem (and calls shutdown by default). * package/a*/Config.in: fix help text wrappingAdam Duskett2017-05-111-2/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | The check-package script when ran gives warnings on text wrapping on all of these Config files. This patch cleans up all warnings related to the text wrapping for the Config files starting with the letter a in the package directory. The appropriate indentation is: <tab><2 spaces><62 chars> See http://nightly.buildroot.org/#writing-rules-config-in for more information. * boot, linux, package: use SPDX short identifier for GPLv2/GPLv2+Rahul Bedarkar2017-04-011-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | We want to use SPDX identifier for license strings as much as possible. SPDX short identifier for GPLv2/GPLv2+ is GPL-2.0/GPL-2.0+. This change is done by using following command. find . -name "*.mk" | xargs sed -ri '/LICENSE( )?[\+:]?=/s/\<GPLv2\>/GPL-2.0/g' Signed-off-by: Rahul Bedarkar <rahulbedarkar89@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Thomas Petazzoni <thomas.petazzoni@free-electrons.com>

* package: Replace 'echo -n' by 'printf'Maxime Hadjinlian2015-10-041-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | 'echo -n' is not a POSIX construct (no flag support), we shoud use 'printf', especially in init script. This patch was generated by the following command line: git grep -l 'echo -n' -- `git ls-files | grep -v 'patch'` | xargs sed -i 's/echo -n/printf/' Signed-off-by: Maxime Hadjinlian <maxime.hadjinlian@gmail.com> Reviewed-by: Arnout Vandecappelle (Essensium/Mind) <arnout@mind.be> Signed-off-by: Peter Korsgaard <peter@korsgaard.com>

* package: add hashes for SourceForge-hosted packagesYann E. MORIN2014-12-281-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since SourceForge sometimes serves us faulty tarballs, we can tons of autobuild failures: http://autobuild.buildroot.org/results/9fb/9fba5bf086a4e7a29e5f7156ec43847db7aacfc4/ http://autobuild.buildroot.org/results/6c8/6c837b244c45ac3b3a887734a371cd6d226cf216/ ... Fix that by adding hash files for all SourceForge-hosted packages (thos etht did not already have it). We normally prefer to use hashes published by upstream, but hunting them all one by one is a tedious task, so those hashes were all locally computed with a script that searched for SF-hosted packages, downloades the associated tarball, computed the hash, and stored it in the corresponding .hash file. Also, SF publishes sha1 hashes, while I used the stronger sha256, since sha1 is now considered to be relatively weak. Signed-off-by: "Yann E. | | | | | | | | | | | | | Also, added acpi_listen to the target. It was being stripped, but not copied. acpi_listen is a simple shell-friendly tool which connects to acpid and listens for events.
