'perf kvm record' uses 'cycles'(if the user did not specify any event)
as the default event to profile the guest.
This will not provide any proper samples from the guest incase of
powerpc architecture, since in powerpc the PMUs are controlled by the
guest rather than the host.
Patch adds a function to pick an arch specific event for 'perf kvm
record', instead of selecting 'cycles' as a default event for all
architectures.
For powerpc this function checks for any user specified event, and if
there isn't any it returns invalid instead of proceeding with 'cycles'
event.

Move kvm-stat header file to the common include section, and make the
definitions in the header file under the conditional inclusion `#ifdef
HAVE_KVM_STAT_SUPPORT`.
This helps to define other 'perf kvm' related function prototypes in
kvm-stat header file, which may not need kvm-stat support.

Segmentation fault
This problem was only observed when we use forever option aka -r 0 and
works with limited repeats. Calling print_counter with ts being set to
NULL, is not a correct option when interval is set. Hence avoid
print_counter(NULL,..) if interval is set.

prev_raw_counts is allocated when using intervals. This is used when
calculating the difference in the counts of events when using interval.
The current counts are stored in prev_raw_counts to calculate the
differences in the next iteration.
On the first interval of the second and subsequent repetitions,
prev_raw_counts would be the values stored in the last interval of the
previous repetitions, while the current counts will only be for the
first interval of the current repetition.
Hence there is a possibility of events showing up as big number.
Fix this by resetting prev_raw_counts whenever perf stat repeats the
command.

are all related, so move to a separate header to reduce the header

Pruning a bit more the includes dependency tree. Building this thing on
lots of containers takes time, we better reduce the time per build, each
container is doing 6 builds when clang and clang-devel are available,
and the plan is to do a 'make -C tools/perf build-test' that have many
more.
Also helps when doing normal development, as touching some random file
will have a much reduced chance of triggering lots of rebuilds.

The python/perf.so compilation needs libperf ready, otherwise it fails:

Both test_smoke.sh and test_space.sh require tpm2.py and tpm2_test.py.
Rework so that tpm2.py and tpm2_test.py gets installed, added them to
the variable TEST_PROGS_EXTENDED.

When generating config with 'make defconfig kselftest-merge' fragment

Some systems have multiple watchdog devices where the first device
registered is assigned to the /dev/watchdog device file. In order
to test other watchdog devices, add an optional file argument for
selecting non-default watchdog devices for testing.

The seccomp selftest goes to some length to build against older kernel
headers, viz. all the #ifdefs at the beginning of the file.
Commit 201766a20e30 ("ptrace: add PTRACE_GET_SYSCALL_INFO request")

When doing "make kselftest TARGETS=bpf -j12", bpf progs end up being
compiled sequentially and thus slowly.
The reason is that parent make (tools/testing/selftests/Makefile) does
not share its jobserver with child make
(tools/testing/selftests/bpf/Makefile), therefore the latter runs with
-j1.
Change all instances of "make" to "$(MAKE)", so that the whole make
hierarchy runs using a single jobserver.

Change the definition of the RBCOMPUTE function. The propagate callback
repeatedly calls RBCOMPUTE as it moves from leaf to root. it wants to
stop recomputing once the augmented subtree information doesn't change.
This was previously checked using the == operator, but that only works
when the augmented subtree information is a scalar field. This commit
modifies the RBCOMPUTE function so that it now sets the augmented subtree
information instead of returning it, and returns a boolean value
indicating if the propagate callback should stop.
The motivation for this change is that I want to introduce augmented
rbtree uses where the augmented data for the subtree is a struct instead
of a scalar.

Add RB_DECLARE_CALLBACKS_MAX, which generates augmented rbtree callbacks
for the case where the augmented value is a scalar whose definition
follows a max(f(node)) pattern. This actually covers all present uses of
RB_DECLARE_CALLBACKS, and saves some (source) code duplication in the
various RBCOMPUTE function definitions.

Patch series "make RB_DECLARE_CALLBACKS more generic", v3.
These changes are intended to make the RB_DECLARE_CALLBACKS macro more
generic (allowing the aubmented subtree information to be a struct instead
of a scalar).
I have verified the compiled lib/interval_tree.o and mm/mmap.o files to
check that they didn't change. This held as expected for interval_tree.o;
mmap.o did have some changes which could be reverted by marking
__vma_link_rb as noinline. I did not add such a change to the patchset; I
felt it was reasonable enough to leave the inlining decision up to the
compiler.
This patch (of 3):
Add a short comment summarizing the arguments to RB_DECLARE_CALLBACKS.
The arguments are also now capitalized. This copies the style of the
INTERVAL_TREE_DEFINE macro.
No functional changes in this commit, only comments and capitalization.
