Add a script to the tools/ directory that shows if or why the running
kernel was tainted. The script was mostly written by Randy Dunlap; I
enhanced the script a bit. There does not appear to be a good home for
this script. so create tools/debugging for tools of this nature.

The pid ns cannot be unshare()d as an unprivileged user without owning the
userns as well. Let's unshare the userns so that we can subsequently
unshare the pidns.
This also means that we don't need to set the no new privs bit as in the
other test cases, since we're unsharing the userns.

seccomp() doesn't allow users who aren't root in their userns to attach
filters unless they have the nnp bit set, so let's set it so that these
tests can pass when run as an unprivileged user.
This idea stolen from the other seccomp tests, which use this trick :)

The get_metadata() test requires real root, so let's skip it if we're not
real root.
Note that I used XFAIL here because that's what the test does later if
CONFIG_CHEKCKPOINT_RESTORE happens to not be enabled. After looking at the
code, there doesn't seem to be a nice way to skip tests defined as TEST(),
since there's no return code (I tried exit(KSFT_SKIP), but that didn't work
either...). So let's do it this way to be consistent, and easier to fix
when someone comes along and fixes it.

This this test forks a child, and then the parent waits for a write() to a
pipe signalling the child is ready to be attached to. If something in the
child ASSERTs before it does this write, the test will hang waiting for it.
Instead, let's EXPECT, so that execution continues until we do the write.
Any failure after that is fine and can ASSERT.

Pull io_uring IO interface from Jens Axboe:
"Second attempt at adding the io_uring interface.
Since the first one, we've added basic unit testing of the three
system calls, that resides in liburing like the other unit tests that
we have so far. It'll take a while to get full coverage of it, but
we're working towards it. I've also added two basic test programs to
tools/io_uring. One uses the raw interface and has support for all the
various features that io_uring supports outside of standard IO, like
fixed files, fixed IO buffers, and polled IO. The other uses the
liburing API, and is a simplified version of cp(1).
This adds support for a new IO interface, io_uring.
io_uring allows an application to communicate with the kernel through
two rings, the submission queue (SQ) and completion queue (CQ) ring.
This allows for very efficient handling of IOs, see the v5 posting for
some basic numbers:

Outside of just efficiency, the interface is also flexible and
extendable, and allows for future use cases like the upcoming NVMe
key-value store API, networked IO, and so on. It also supports async
buffered IO, something that we've always failed to support in the
kernel.
Outside of basic IO features, it supports async polled IO as well.
This particular feature has already been tested at Facebook months ago
for flash storage boxes, with 25-33% improvements. It makes polled IO
actually useful for real world use cases, where even basic flash sees
a nice win in terms of efficiency, latency, and performance. These
boxes were IOPS bound before, now they are not.
This series adds three new system calls. One for setting up an
io_uring instance (io_uring_setup(2)), one for submitting/completing
IO (io_uring_enter(2)), and one for aux functions like registrating
file sets, buffers, etc (io_uring_register(2)). Through the help of
Arnd, I've coordinated the syscall numbers so merge on that front
should be painless.

There's a userspace library that provides basic functionality for
applications that don't need or want to care about how to fiddle with
the rings directly. It has helpers to allow applications to easily set
up an io_uring instance, and submit/complete IO through it without

The livepatch selftest functions.sh library uses "$*" and an
intermediate variable to extract and then pass arguments from function
to function call. The effect of this combination is that the argument
list is flattened into a single argument. Sometimes this is benign, but
in cases like __load_mod(), the modprobe invocation will interpret all
the module parameters as a single parameter.
Drop the intermediate variable and use the "$@" special parameter as
described in the bash manual.

- Enable THREAD_INFO_IN_TASK to move thread_info off the stack.
- A big series from Christoph reworking our DMA code to use more of
the generic infrastructure, as he said:
"This series switches the powerpc port to use the generic swiotlb
and noncoherent dma ops, and to use more generic code for the
coherent direct mapping, as well as removing a lot of dead
code."
- Increase our vmalloc space to 512T with the Hash MMU on modern
CPUs, allowing us to support machines with larger amounts of total
RAM or distance between nodes.
- Two series from Christophe, one to optimise TLB miss handlers on
6xx, and another to optimise the way STRICT_KERNEL_RWX is
implemented on some 32-bit CPUs.
- Support for KCOV coverage instrumentation which means we can run

map_hugetlb maps 256Mbytes of memory with default hugepage size.
This patch allows the user to pass the size and page shift as an
argument in order to use different size and page size.

A new self test that forces MSR[TS] to be set without calling any TM
instruction. This test also tries to cause a page fault at a signal
handler, exactly between MSR[TS] set and tm_recheckpoint(), forcing
thread->texasr to be rewritten with TEXASR[FS] = 0, which will cause a BUG
when tm_recheckpoint() is called.
This test is not deterministic, since it is hard to guarantee that the page
access will cause a page fault. In order to force more page faults at
signal context, the signal handler and the ucontext are being mapped into a
MADV_DONTNEED memory chunks.
Tests have shown that the bug could be exposed with few interactions in a
buggy kernel. This test is configured to loop 5000x, having a good chance
to hit the kernel issue in just one run. This self test takes less than
two seconds to run.
This test uses set/getcontext because the kernel will recheckpoint
zeroed structures, causing the test to segfault, which is undesired because
the test needs to rerun, so, there is a signal handler for SIGSEGV which
will restart the test.

This patch adds a selftest for the SafeSetID LSM. The test requires
mounting securityfs if it isn't mounted, creating test users in
/etc/passwd, and configuring policies for the SafeSetID LSM through
writes to securityfs.

Measuring particulate matter in ug / m3 (micro-grams per cubic meter)
is de facto standard. Existing air quality sensors usually follow
this convention and are capable of returning measurements using
this unit.
IIO currently does not offer suitable channel type for this
type of measurements hence this patch adds this.
In addition, extra modifiers are introduced used for distinguishing
between fine pm1, pm2p5 and coarse pm4, pm10 particle measurements, i.e
IIO_MOD_PM1, IIO_MOD_PM25 and IIO_MOD_PM4, IIO_MOD_PM10.
pmX consists of particles with aerodynamic diameter less or equal to
X micrometers.

the driver core by Alexander Duyck to rework the async probe
functionality to work better for a number of devices, and independant

This breaks testing on Debian, and this patch was NACKed anyway.
The proper way to address this is a quirk for busybox as that is
where the issue is present.

This reverts commit 7492902e8d22b568463897fa967c0886764cf034.
The commit tried to address an issue discovered by Dan where he got
a message saying:
'usermode helper disabled so ignoring test'.
Dans's commit is forcing CONFIG_FW_LOADER_USER_HELPER_FALLBACK but just
having CONFIG_FW_LOADER_USER_HELPER suffices to emulate the_FALLBACK
functionality.
Dan's commit is trying to fix an issue which is hidden from a previous
commit. That issue will be addressed properly next.

Now, subsituting "p->len + 6" with "p->len + sizeof(p->addr) +
sizeof(p->len)" we end up with the same expression as used by kernel
couterpart in linux/ihex.h:
ALIGN(p->len + sizeof(p->addr) + sizeof(p->len), 4)
That is a full size of the record, aligned to 4 bytes. No functional
change intended.
