Instead of having a host of different register offsets in the device tree,
this patch simplifies the CPSW code by letting the driver set the proper
register offsets automatically, based on the CPSW version.

Because time stamping on both external ports of the switch simultaneously
is positively useless from the application's point of view, this patch
provides a DT configuration method to choose the active port.

Pull ARM SoC updates from Olof Johansson:
"This contains the bulk of new SoC development for this merge window.
Two new platforms have been added, the sunxi platforms (Allwinner A1x
SoCs) by Maxime Ripard, and a generic Broadcom platform for a new
series of ARMv7 platforms from them, where the hope is that we can
keep the platform code generic enough to have them all share one mach
directory. The new Broadcom platform is contributed by Christian
Daudt.
Highbank has grown support for Calxeda's next generation of hardware,
ECX-2000.
clps711x has seen a lot of cleanup from Alexander Shiyan, and he's
also taken on maintainership of the platform.
Beyond this there has been a bunch of work from a number of people on
converting more platforms to IRQ domains, pinctrl conversion, cleanup
and general feature enablement across most of the active platforms."
Fix up trivial conflicts as per Olof.

Pull ARM SoC cleanups on various subarchitectures from Olof Johansson:
"Cleanup patches for various ARM platforms and some of their associated
drivers. There's also a branch in here that enables Freescale i.MX to
be part of the multiplatform support -- the first "big" SoC that is
moved over (more multiplatform work comes in a separate branch later
during the merge window)."
Conflicts fixed as per Olof, including a silent semantic one in
arch/arm/mach-omap2/board-generic.c (omap_prcm_restart() was renamed to
omap3xxx_restart(), and a new user of the old name was added).

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tmlind/linux-omap into next/cleanup
From Tony Lindgren:
Move most of remaining omap iommu code to drivers/iommu.
This is needed for the multiplatform kernels as the plat
and mach headers cannot be included.
These changes were agreed to be merged via the arm-soc
tree by Joerg and Ohad as these will cause some merge
conflicts with the other related clean-up branches.
So omap-for-v3.8/cleanup-headers-iommu should be added
as one of the depends branches for arm-soc.

Timer clean-up to get us closer to moving timer code to drivers,
and to get rid of CONFIG_OMAP_32K_TIMER and rely on the board

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tmlind/linux-omap into next/cleanup
From Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com>:
More PRCM cleanups via Paul Walmsley <paul@pwsan.com>:
Second set of OMAP PRCM cleanups for 3.8.
These patches remove the use of omap_prcm_get_reset_sources() from the
OMAP watchdog driver, and remove mach-omap2/prcm.c and
plat-omap/include/plat/prcm.h.
Basic test logs for this branch on top of Tony's cleanup-prcm branch
at commit 7fc54fd3084457c7f11b9e2e1e3fcd19a3badc33 are here:
http://www.pwsan.com/omap/testlogs/prcm_cleanup_b_3.8/20121108151646/
However, cleanup-prcm at 7fc54fd3 does not include some fixes
that are needed for a successful test. With several reverts,
fixes, and workarounds applied, the following test logs were
obtained:
http://www.pwsan.com/omap/testlogs/TEST_prcm_cleanup_b_3.8/20121108151930/
which indicate that the series tests cleanly.
This second pull request updates one of the patches which broke
with rmk's allnoconfigs, and also updates the tag description to
indicate that 7fc54fd3 is building cleanly here.

The OMAP watchdog timer driver directly calls a function exported by
code in arch/arm/mach-omap2. This is not good; it tightly couples
this driver to the mach-omap2 integration code. Instead, add a
temporary platform_data function pointer to abstract this function
call. A subsequent patch will convert the watchdog driver to use this
function pointer.
This patch also moves the device creation code out of
arch/arm/mach-omap2/devices.c and into arch/arm/mach-omap2/wd_timer.c.
This is another step towards the removal of
arch/arm/mach-omap2/devices.c.

The only mach/irqs.h user outside arch/arm/mach-imx is
sound/soc/fsl/imx-pcm-fiq.c, which refers to mxc_set_irq_fiq().
Move the declaration into include/linux/platform_data/asoc-imx-ssi.h,
so that we can remove mach/irqs.h includsion from imx-pcm-fiq.c.
Inside arch/arm/mach-imx, the only users to mach/irqs.h are avic.c

It changes the driver to use platform_device_id rather than cpu_is_xxx
to determine the controller type, and updates the platform code
accordingly.
As the result, mach/hardware.h inclusion gets removed from the driver.

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tmlind/linux-omap into next/headers

A platform function pointer for getting the frequency of a OneNAND device
was added so that a platform could specify a custom function for returning
the frequency and not just rely on the OneNAND version to determine the
frequency. However, this platform function pointer is not currently being
used and I am not sure if it ever has.
OneNAND devices are not so common these days and as far as I know not being
used with new devices. Therefore, it is most likely that this get_freq()
function pointer will not be used and so remove it.
Given that the get_freq() function pointer is not used, neither is the
clk_dep variable and so all references to it can also be removed.

This driver is based on the thermal management framework in thermal_sys.c. A
thermal zone device is created with the trip points to which cooling devices
can be bound, the current cooling device is cpufreq, e.g. CPU frequency is
clipped down to cool the CPU, and other cooling devices can be added and bound
to the trip points dynamically. The platform specific PRCMU interrupts are
used to active thermal update when trip points are reached.

Pull staging driver tree merge from Greg Kroah-Hartman:
"Here's the big staging tree merge for 3.8-rc1
There's a lot of patches in here, the majority being the comedi
rework/cleanup that has been ongoing and is causing a huge reduction
in overall code size, which is amazing to watch. We also removed some
older drivers (telephony and rts_pstor), and added a new one (fwserial
which also came in through the tty tree due to tty api changes, take
that one if you get merge conflicts.)
The iio and ipack drivers are moving out of the staging area into
their own part of the kernel as they have been cleaned up sufficiently
and are working well.
Overall, again a reduction of code:
768 files changed, 31887 insertions(+), 82166 deletions(-)
All of this has been in the linux-next tree for a while.

The driver does not expose any custom API to userspace and none of the standard
static code checker tools report any issues, so move it out of staging.
