* iwlwifi: mvm: don't delay the association until after beaconJohannes Berg2013-02-121-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | If we haven't heard a beacon before we associate we can still start the association process and set the MAC in the firmware to associated only after having received a beacon with DTIM period by reacting to the new change flag (BSS_CHANGED_DTIM_PERIOD) from mac80211. This reduces the association time in these cases. Signed-off-by: Emmanuel Grumbach <emmanuel.grumbach@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com>
* iwlwifi: mvm: Change the Time Event type used for ROCIlan Peer2013-02-111-3/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | The TE_P2P_DEVICE_DISCOVERABLE time event type used for ROC is assigned low priority in the FW, and thus has low chance of being scheduled when there are active BSS or GO VMACs (even if fragmentation is allowed). This is mainly problematic in for cases where ROC is requested for sending action frames. To overcome this, use a time event type that has priority equal to that ot the time event type used by the FW to action scan. Newer firmware revisions have a completely new firmware API. This is the new driver for this new API. I've listed the people who directly contributed code, but many others from various teams have contributed in other ways.
