* drivers/net: delete non-required instances of include <linux/init.h>Paul Gortmaker2014-01-161-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | None of these files are actually using any __init type directives and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to code getting copied from one driver to the next. This covers everything under drivers/net except for wireless, which has been submitted separately. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: David S. | | | | | | | checkpatch spotted two errors, fix them. Signed-off-by: Florian Fainelli <f.fainelli@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* net: phy: spi_ks8995: remove unnecessary spi_set_drvdata()Jingoo Han2013-12-101-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | The driver core clears the driver data to NULL after device_release or on probe failure. Thus, it is not needed to manually clear the device driver data to NULL. Signed-off-by: Jingoo Han <jg1.han@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* net/phy: Use module_spi_driver in spi_ks8995.cSachin Kamat2013-05-271-13/+1
| | | | | | | | module_spi_driver() removes some boilerplate and makes the code simpler. Signed-off-by: Sachin Kamat <sachin.kamat@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* net: phy: spi_ks8995: use spi_get_drvdata() and spi_set_drvdata()Jingoo Han2013-04-071-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | Use the wrapper functions for getting and setting the driver data using spi_device instead of using dev_{get|set}_drvdata with &spi->dev, so we can directly pass a struct spi_device. * drivers:net:misc: Remove unnecessary alloc/OOM messagesJoe Perches2013-02-041-3/+1
| | | | | | | | alloc failures already get standardized OOM messages and a dump_stack. Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* net/phy: remove __dev* attributesBill Pemberton2012-12-031-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As result the __dev* markings will be going away. Remove use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit. * phy: Use pr_<level>Joe Perches2012-06-111-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | Use a more current logging style. Add pr_fmt and missing newlines. Remove embedded prefixes. Neaten phy_print_status to avoid using KERN_CONT. Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* net: Remove redundant spi driver bus initializationLars-Peter Clausen2012-04-131-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In ancient times it was necessary to manually initialize the bus field of an spi_driver to spi_bus_type. These days this is done in spi_driver_register() so we can drop the manual assignment. The patch was generated using the following coccinelle semantic patch: // <smpl> @@ identifier _driver; @@ struct spi_driver _driver = { .driver = { - .bus = &spi_bus_type, }, }; // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Lars-Peter Clausen <lars@metafoo.de> Cc: "David S.
