* net/cxgb4: Fix referencing freed adapterGavin Shan2014-01-241-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | The adapter is freed before we check its flags. It was caused by commit 144be3d ("net/cxgb4: Avoid disabling PCI device for towice"). The problem was reported by Intel's "0-day" tool. The patch fixes it to avoid reverting commit 144be3d. * net/cxgb4: Don't retrieve stats during recoveryGavin Shan2014-01-231-0/+10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | We possibly retrieve the adapter's statistics during EEH recovery and that should be disallowed. Otherwise, it would possibly incur replicate EEH error and EEH recovery is going to fail eventually. The patch reuses statistics lock and checks net_device is attached before going to retrieve statistics, so that the problem can be avoided. * net/cxgb4: Avoid disabling PCI device for towiceGavin Shan2014-01-231-5/+18
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | If we have EEH error happens to the adapter and we have to remove it from the system for some reasons (e.g. more than 5 EEH errors detected from the device in last hour), the adapter will be disabled for towice separately by eeh_err_detected() and remove_one(), which will incur following unexpected backtrace. The patch tries to avoid it. * cxgb4: Add API to correctly calculate tuple fieldsKumar Sanghvi2013-12-221-15/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Adds API cxgb4_select_ntuple so as to enable Upper Level Drivers to correctly calculate the tuple fields. Adds constant definitions for TP_VLAN_PRI_MAP for the Compressed Filter Tuple field widths and structures and uses them. Also, the CPL Parameters field for T5 is 40 bits so we need to prototype cxgb4_select_ntuple() to calculate and return u64 values. * cxgb4: Account for stid entries properly in case of IPv6Kumar Sanghvi2013-12-221-2/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | IPv6 uses 2 TIDs with CLIP enabled and 4 TIDs without CLIP. Currently we are incrementing STIDs in use by 1 for both IPv4 and IPv6 which is wrong. Further, driver currently does not have interface to query if CLIP is programmed for particular IPv6 address. So, in this patch we increment/decrement TIDs in use by 4 for IPv6 assuming absence of CLIP. Such assumption keeps us on safe side and we don't end up allocating more stids for IPv6 than actually supported. * cxgb4: Assign filter server TIDs properlyKumar Sanghvi2013-12-221-4/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The LE workaround code is incorrectly reusing the TCAM TIDs (meant for allocation by firmware in case of hash collisions) for filter servers. This patch assigns the filter server TIDs properly starting from sftid_base index. * cxgb4: Include TCP as protocol when creating server filtersKumar Sanghvi2013-12-221-0/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | We were creating LE Workaround Server Filters without specifying IPPROTO_TCP (6) in the filters (when F_PROTOCOL is set in TP_VLAN_PRI_MAP). This meant that UDP packets with matching IP Addresses/Ports would get caught up in the filter and be delivered to ULDs like iw_cxgb4. So, include the protocol information in the server filter properly. * cxgb4: Reserve stid 0 for T4/T5 adaptersKumar Sanghvi2013-12-221-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When creating offload server entries, an IPv6 passive connection request can trigger a reply with a null STID, whereas the driver would expect the reply 'STID to match the value used for the request. This happens due to h/w limitation on T4 and T5. This patch ensures that STID 0 is never used if the stid range starts from zero. * | cxgb4: Add CLIP support to store compressed IPv6 addressVipul Pandya2013-08-121-0/+217
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The Compressed LIP region is used to hold a limited number of Local IPv6 addresses. This region is primarily used to reduce the TCAM space consumed for an IPv6 offloaded connection. A 128-bit LIP will be reduced to 13-bit and stored in the TCAM if there is a match between the IPv6 tuple's LIP and the one stored in the CLIP region. |/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add cxgb4_create_server6 and cxgb4_remove_server routines to create and remove listening IPv6 servers. Return success (0) from cxgb4_create_server in case of ctrl queue congestion since in case of congestion, passive open request gets queued and gets processed later. If a non-zero value were returned it would be treated as an error and the ULD would free STID, which can result in an error in passive open reply. * cxgb4: Force uninitialized state if FW_ON_ADAPTER is < FW_VERSION and we're ↵Jay Hernandez2013-05-311-2/+25
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | the MASTER_PF Forcing uninitialized state allows us to upgrade and reinitialize the adapter. FW_VERSION_T4 = 1.4.0.0 FW_VERSION_T5 = 0.0.0.0 At this point driver supports above and greater than above version of firmware. If it doesn't find the required firmware version than it forces the adapter to be reinitialized as shown below. 1) If FW_ON_ADAPTER < FW_VERSION and we're the MASTER_PF force uninitialized state and a FW upgrade if available. - If FW_ON_ADAPTER < /lib/firmware/cxgb4/t*fw.bin we will update the adapters FW. - If FW_ON_ADAPTER >= /lib/firmware/cxgb4/t*fw.bin don't upgrade FW. - If upgrade_fw() fails force reinitialization of the adapter anyways, it might still work. Either way forcing the uninitialized state allows cxgb4 reinitialize FW. 2) If FW_ON_ADAPTER >= FW_VERSION driver follows normal path. * cxgb4: fix error recovery when t4_fw_hello returns a positive valueThadeu Lima de Souza Cascardo2013-05-031-1/+1

* cxgb4: Support CPL_SGE_EGR_UPDATEs encapsulated in a CPL_FW4_MSGVipul Pandya2013-04-291-0/+31
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Newer firmware can post CPL_SGE_EGR_UPDATE message encapsulated in a CPL_FW4_MSG as follows flit0 rss_header (if DropRSS == 0 in IQ context) flit1 CPL_FW4_MSG cpl flit2 rss_header w/opcode CPL_SGE_EGR_UPDATE flit3 CPL_SGE_EGR_UPDATE cpl So FW4_MSG CPLs with a newly created type of FW_TYPE_RSSCPL have the CPL_SGE_EGR_UPDATE CPL message in flit 2 of the FW4_MSG. Firmware can still post regular CPL_SGE_EGR_UPDATE messages, so the drivers need to handle both. This patch also writes a new parameter to firmware requesting encapsulated EGR_UPDATE. | | | | | | | | | | | It establishes passive open connection through firmware work request. * cxgb4: Add LE hash collision bug fix path in LLD driverVipul Pandya2012-12-191-8/+143
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | It supports establishing passive open connection through firmware filter work request. Passive open connection will go through this path as now instead of listening server we create a server filter which will redirect the incoming SYN packet to the offload queue. It divides filter region into regular filters and server filter portion. It introduces new server filter region which will be exclusively used for creating server filters. This region will not overlap with regular filter region. It provides new API cxgb4_alloc_sftid in LLD for getting stid in case of LE hash collision path. This new stid will be used to open server filter in the filter region. Signed-off-by: Vipul Pandya <vipul@chelsio.com> Signed-off-by: Roland Dreier <roland@purestorage.com>
* cxgb4: Add T4 filter supportVipul Pandya2012-12-191-6/+288
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The T4 architecture is capable of filtering ingress packets at line rate using the rule in TCAM. If packet hits a rule in the TCAM then it can be either dropped or passed to the receive queues based on a rule settings. This patch adds framework for managing filters and to use T4's filter capabilities. It constructs a Firmware Filter Work Request which writes the filter at a specified index to get the work done. It hosts shadow copy of ingress filter entry to check field size limitations and save memory in the case where the filter table is large. This benefits processes that have very many mostly idle sockets, which is quite common. From Eric Dumazet. 10) Use up to 32K for page fragment allocations, with fallbacks to smaller sizes when higher order page allocations fail. Benefits are a) less segments for driver to process b) less calls to page allocator c) less waste of space.
