* crypto: shash - remove useless setting of type flagsEric Biggers2018-07-091-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Many shash algorithms set .cra_flags = CRYPTO_ALG_TYPE_SHASH. But this is redundant with the C structure type ('struct shash_alg'), and crypto_register_shash() already sets the type flag automatically, clearing any type flag that was already there. Apparently the useless assignment has just been copy+pasted around. So, remove the useless assignment from all the shash algorithms. This patch shouldn't change any actual behavior. * crypto: sparc - replace memset by memzero_explicitJulia Lawall2014-12-021-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Memset on a local variable may be removed when it is called just before the variable goes out of scope. Using memzero_explicit defeats this optimization. A simplified version of the semantic patch that makes this change is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @@ identifier x; type T; @@ { ... when any T x[...]; ... when any when exists - memset + memzero_explicit (x, -0, ...) ... when != x when strict } // </smpl> This change was suggested by Daniel Borkmann <dborkman@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <Julia.Lawall@lip6.fr> Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
* crypto: prefix module autoloading with "crypto-"Kees Cook2014-11-241-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | This prefixes all crypto module loading with "crypto-" so we never run the risk of exposing module auto-loading to userspace via a crypto API, as demonstrated by Mathias Krause: https://lkml.org/lkml/2013/3/4/70 Signed-off-by: Kees Cook <keescook@chromium.org> Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
* sparc64: Fix build with mix of modular vs. non-modular crypto drivers.David S. Miller2012-11-091-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | We tried linking in a single built object to hold the device table, but only works if all of the sparc64 crypto modules get built the same way (modular vs. non-modular). Just include the device ID stub into each driver source file so that the table gets compiled into the correct result in all cases. Reported-by: Meelis Roos <mroos@linux.ee> Signed-off-by: David S. * sparc64: Adjust crypto priorities.David S. Miller2012-09-151-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | Make the crypto opcode implementations have a higher priority than those provides by the ring buffer based Niagara crypto device. Also, several crypto opcode hashes were not setting the priority value at all. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
