* MIPS: Add driver for the built-in PCI controller of the RT3883 SoCGabor Juhos2013-09-041-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The Ralink RT3883 SoCs have a built-in PCI Host Controller device. The patch adds a platform driver and device tree binding documentation for that. The patch also enables the HW_HAS_PCI config option. This is required in order to be able to enable the PCI support. * MIPS: ralink: mt7620: Add wdt clock definitionJohn Crispin2013-09-041-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The watchdog driver of the SoC uses the clk API to get the clock associated with the watchdog device. However the MT7620 specific setup code does not register a clock for the watchdog device yet which leads to the following error: rt2880_wdt: probe of 10000120.watchdog failed with error -2 Register a clock device for the watchdog in order to avoid the error and make the watchdog usable. * MIPS: ralink: mt7620: Improve clock frequency detectionGabor Juhos2013-09-041-25/+175
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The current code assumes that the peripheral clock always runs at 40MHz which is not true in all configuration. The peripheral clock can also use the reference clock instead of the fixed 40MHz rate. If the reference clock runs at a different rate, various peripheries are behaving incorrectly. Additionally, the currectly calculated system clock is also wrong. The actual value what the code computes is the rate of the DRAM which can be different from the system clock. Add new helper functions to get the rate of the different clocks and use the correct values for the registered clock devices. | | | | | | | | | | | Newer Ralink SoC (MT7620x and RT5350) have a 50KHz clock that runs independent of the SoC master clock. * MIPS: Delete __cpuinit/__CPUINIT usage from MIPS codePaul Gortmaker2013-07-141-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | commit 3747069b25e419f6b51395f48127e9812abc3596 upstream. The __cpuinit type of throwaway sections might have made sense some time ago when RAM was more constrained, but now the savings do not offset the cost and complications. For example, the fix in commit 5e427ec2d0 ("x86: Fix bit corruption at CPU resume time") is a good example of the nasty type of bugs that can be created with improper use of the various __init prefixes. After a discussion on LKML[1] it was decided that cpuinit should go the way of devinit and be phased out. Once all the users are gone, we can then finally remove the macros themselves from linux/init.h. Note that some harmless section mismatch warnings may result, since notify_cpu_starting() and cpu_up() are arch independent (kernel/cpu.c) and are flagged as __cpuinit -- so if we remove the __cpuinit from the arch specific callers, we will also get section mismatch warnings. As an intermediate step, we intend to turn the linux/init.h cpuinit related content into no-ops as early as possible, since that will get rid of these warnings. In any case, they are temporary and harmless. Here, we remove all the MIPS __cpuinit from C code and __CPUINIT from asm files. MIPS is interesting in this respect, because there are also uasm users hiding behind their own renamed versions of the __cpuinit macros. While MIPS has announced hardware virtualization extensions this KVM extension uses trap and emulate mode for virtualization of MIPS32. More KVM work to add support for VZ hardware virtualizaiton extensions and MIPS64 will probably already be merged for 3.11. Most of this has been sitting in -next for a long time. | * MIPS: ralink: add PCI IRQ handlingGabor Juhos2013-05-081-0/+4
|/ | | | | | | | | The Ralink IRQ code was not handling the PCI IRQ yet. Add this functionaility to make PCI work on rt3883. Signed-off-by: John Crispin <blogic@openwrt.org> Signed-off-by: Gabor Juhos <juhosg@openwrt.org> Patchwork: http://patchwork.linux-mips.org/patch/5165/
* MIPS: ralink: add CPU interrupt controller to of_irq_idsGabor Juhos2013-02-172-3/+17
| | | | | | | | | | Convert the ralink IRQ code to make use of the new MIPS IRQ controller OF mappings. * MIPS: ralink: adds support for RT305x SoC familyJohn Crispin2013-02-171-0/+242
| | | | | | | | | | Add support code for rt3050, rt3052, rt3350, rt3352 and rt5350 SOC. The code detects the SoC and registers the clk / pinmux settings. * MIPS: ralink: adds early_printk supportJohn Crispin2013-02-171-0/+44
| | | | | | | | Add the code needed to make early printk work. Signed-off-by: John Crispin <blogic@openwrt.org> Signed-off-by: Gabor Juhos <juhosg@openwrt.org> Patchwork: http://patchwork.linux-mips.org/patch/4897/
* MIPS: ralink: adds OF codeJohn Crispin2013-02-171-0/+107
| | | | | | | | | | Until there is a generic MIPS way of handing the DTB over from bootloader to kernel we rely on a built in devicetrees. The OF code also remaps those register ranges that we use global in our drivers.
