Commit c111feabe2e2 (gpio: twl4030: Cache the direction and output
states in private data) improved things in general, but caused a
regression for setting the GPIO output direction.
The change reorganized twl_direction_out() and twl_set() and swapped
the function names around in the process. While doing that, a bug got
introduced that's not obvious while reading the patch as it appears
as no change to the code.
The bug is we now call function twl4030_set_gpio_dataout() twice in
both twl_direction_out() and twl_set(). Instead, we should first
call twl_direction_out() in twl_direction_out() followed by
twl4030_set_gpio_dataout() in twl_set().
This regression probably has gone unnoticed for a long time as the
bootloader may have set the GPIO direction properly in many cases.
This fixes at least the LCD panel not turning on omap3 LDP for
example.

Commit 26273e02a0cf (ARM: OMAP2+: Fix build for dra7xx without
omap4 and 5) attempted to fix randconfig found errors for
redefinition of omap44xx_prm_reconfigure_io_chain, but was
not enough.
We need to check for AM43XX without any omap4 or 5 related
SoCs as well. And looks like we have prm44xx.o built always
anyways with omap-4-5-prcm-common because of the calls to
omap4_prm_vp_clear_txdone, so we can remove the duplicate
entries in the Makefile.

Looks like we're missing few entries for omap2 and the drivers
have only worked because of the omap hwmod building the devices
for the missing entries.
Let's fix the missing entries so we don't need to rely on hwmod
for the basic data and can then later on remove the duplicate
data from hwmod. Otherwise device tree only drivers will not
work properly.

Commit f2bf0e72d000 (ARM: OMAP2+: Add minimal 8250 support
for GPMC) added support for using bootloader timings for some
devices. Turns out we can do the same by looking at the compatible
flags of the child without adding a new function as smc91x has
a similar issue as 8250 with the bootloader timings.
And let's fix the 8250 naming, we should use the device type as
the name like uart instead of 8250 for zoom dts file.

OMAP device hooks around suspend|resume_noirq ensures that hwmod
devices are forced to idle using omap_device_idle/enable as part of
the last stage of suspend activity.
For a device such as i2c who uses autosuspend, it is possible to enter
the suspend path with dev->power.runtime_status = RPM_ACTIVE.
As part of the suspend flow, the generic runtime logic would increment
it's dev->power.disable_depth to 1. This should prevent further
pm_runtime_get_sync from succeeding once the runtime_status has been
set to RPM_SUSPENDED.
Now, as part of the suspend_noirq handler in omap_device, we force the
following: if the device status is !suspended, we force the device
to idle using omap_device_idle (clocks are cut etc..). This ensures
that from a hardware perspective, the device is "suspended". However,
runtime_status is left to be active.
*if* an operation is attempted after this point to
pm_runtime_get_sync, runtime framework depends on runtime_status to
indicate accurately the device status, and since it sees it to be
ACTIVE, it assumes the module is functional and returns a non-error
value. As a result the user will see pm_runtime_get succeed, however a
register access will crash due to the lack of clocks.
To prevent this from happening, we should ensure that runtime_status
exactly indicates the device status. As a result of this change
any further calls to pm_runtime_get* would return -EACCES (since
disable_depth is 1). On resume, we restore the clocks and runtime
status exactly as we suspended with. These operations are not expected
to fail as we update the states after the core runtime framework has
suspended itself and restore before the core runtime framework has
resumed.

On OMAPs the IO ring must be rearmed each time the pad wakeup
configuration is changed. So call pcs_soc->rearm() from
pcs_irq_set().
As pinctrl-single is now an interrupt controller in some cases,
we should follow the standards and keep the interrupts enabled
constantly, and not just for wake-up events. The tracking of
runtime vs wake-up interrupts can be handled separately for
the automated runtime PM solution when we have it in the
future.

dpll4_m3_ck and dpll4_m4_ck have divider bit fields which are 6 bits
wide. However, only values from 1 to 32 are allowed. This means we have
to add a divider tables and list the dividers explicitly.
I believe the same issue is there for other dpll4_mx_ck clocks, but as
I'm not familiar with them, I didn't touch them.

Commit 2361613206e6, "of/irq: Refactor interrupt-map parsing" introduced
a potential buffer overflow bug because it doesn't do sufficient range
checking on the input data. This patch adds the appropriate checking and
buffer size adjustments. If the bounds are out of range then warn
loudly. MAX_PHANDLE_ARGS should be sufficient. If it is not then the
value can be increased.

Commit 2361613206e6, "of/irq: Refactor interrupt-map parsing" introduced
a bug. The irq parsing will fail for some nodes that don't have a reg
property. It is fixed by deferring the check for reg until it is
actually needed. Also adjust the testcase data to catch the bug.

Two of the versatile irq definitions are incorrect, mostly because two
devices have connections to more than one interrupt controller. Fix them
by using the new interrupts-extended property to fan out without using
an awful interrupt-map nexus node.

The standard interrupts property in device tree can only handle
interrupts coming from a single interrupt parent. If a device is wired
to multiple interrupt controllers, then it needs to be attached to a
node with an interrupt-map property to demux the interrupt specifiers
which is confusing. It would be a lot easier if there was a form of the
interrupts property that allows for a separate interrupt phandle for
each interrupt specifier.
This patch does exactly that by creating a new interrupts-extended
property which reuses the phandle+arguments pattern used by GPIOs and
other core bindings.

The Microblaze PCI code copied the PowerPC irq handling, but powerpc
needs to handle broken device trees that are not present on Microblaze.
This patch removes the powerpc special case and replaces it with a
direct of_irq_parse_and_map_pci() call.

The of_irq_to_resource() helper that is used to implement of_irq_count()
tries to resolve interrupts and in fact creates a mapping for resolved
interrupts. That's pretty heavy lifting for something that claims to
just return the number of interrupts requested by a given device node.
Instead, use the more lightweight of_irq_map_one(), which, despite the
name, doesn't create an actual mapping. Perhaps a better name would be
of_irq_translate_one().

All the users of of_irq_parse_raw pass in a raw interrupt specifier from
the device tree and expect it to be returned (possibly modified) in an
of_phandle_args structure. However, the primary function of
of_irq_parse_raw() is to check for translations due to the presence of
one or more interrupt-map properties. The actual placing of the data
into an of_phandle_args structure is trivial. If it is refactored to
accept an of_phandle_args structure directly, then it becomes possible
to consume of_phandle_args from other sources. This is important for an
upcoming patch that allows a device to be connected to more than one
interrupt parent. It also simplifies the code a bit.
The biggest complication with this patch is that the old version works
on the interrupt specifiers in __be32 form, but the of_phandle_args
structure is intended to carry it in the cpu-native version. A bit of
churn was required to make this work. In the end it results in tighter
code, so the churn is worth it.

All the callers of irq_create_of_mapping() pass the contents of a struct
of_phandle_args structure to the function. Since all the callers already
have an of_phandle_args pointer, why not pass it directly to
irq_create_of_mapping()?

The OF irq handling code has been overloading the term 'map' to refer to
both parsing the data in the device tree and mapping it to the internal
linux irq system. This is probably because the device tree does have the
concept of an 'interrupt-map' function for translating interrupt
references from one node to another, but 'map' is still confusing when
the primary purpose of some of the functions are to parse the DT data.
This patch renames all the of_irq_map_* functions to of_irq_parse_*
which makes it clear that there is a difference between the parsing
phase and the mapping phase. Kernel code can make use of just the
parsing or just the mapping support as needed by the subsystem.
The patch was generated mechanically with a handful of sed commands.

Some drivers might rely on availability of trigger flags in IRQ
resource, for example to configure the hardware for particular interrupt
type. However current code creating IRQ resources from data in device
tree does not configure trigger flags in resulting resources.
This patch tries to solve the problem, based on the fact that
irq_of_parse_and_map() configures the trigger based on DT interrupt
specifier and IRQD_TRIGGER_* flags are consistent with IORESOURCE_IRQ_*,
and we can get correct trigger flags by calling irqd_get_trigger_type()
after mapping the interrupt.

Several locations in the of_address and of_irq code dereference the
full_name parameter from a device_node pointer without checking if the
pointer is valid. This patch switches to use of_node_full_name() which
always checks the pointer.

The size of each hwid in a cpu nodes 'reg' property is defined by the
parents #address-cells property in the normal way. The cpu parsing code
has a bug where it will overrun the end of the property if
address-cells is greater than one. This commit fixes the problem by
adjusting the array size by the number of address cells. It also makes
sure address-cells isn't zero for that would cause an infinite loop.
v2: bail if #address-cells is zero instead of forcing to
OF_ROOT_NODE_ADDR_CELLS_DEFAULT. Forcing it will cause the reg
property to be parsed incorrectly.

Use for_each_node_by_type() to iterate all cpu nodes in the
system.
Provide and overridable function arch_find_n_match_cpu_physical_id,
which sees if the given device node matches 'cpu' and if so sets
'*thread' when non-NULL to the cpu thread number within the core.
The default implementation behaves the same as the existing code.
Add a sparc64 implementation.

The early_init_devtree() API was removed in linux-next for 3.13 with
commit "mips: use early_init_dt_scan". This causes Netlogic XLP compile
to fail:
arch/mips/netlogic/xlp/setup.c:101: undefined reference to `early_init_devtree'
Add xlp_early_init_devtree() which uses the __dt_setup_arch() to
handle early device tree related initialization to fix this.

The advent of multi-cluster ARM systems requires a mechanism to describe
how in hierarchical terms CPUs are connected in ARM SoCs so that the kernel
can initialize and map resources like IRQs and memory space to specific
group(s) of CPUs.
The CPU topology is made up of multiple hierarchy levels whose bottom
layers (aka leaf nodes in device tree syntax) contain links to the HW
CPUs in the system.
The topology bindings are generic for both 32-bit and 64-bit systems and
lay the groundwork on top of which affinity schemes can be built.
This patch provides the documentation in the kernel required to define the
device tree bindings describing the CPU topology for ARM 32-bit and 64-bit
systems.

In order to extend the current cpu nodes bindings to newer CPUs
inclusive of AArch64 and to update support for older ARM CPUs this
patch updates device tree documentation for the cpu nodes bindings.
Main changes:
- adds 64-bit bindings
- define usage of #address-cells
- defines behaviour on pre and post v7 uniprocessor systems
- adds ARM 11MPcore specific reg property definition
