enic: prevent waking up stopped tx queues over watchdog reset

Recent months, our customer reported several kernel crashes all preceding with following message: NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth2 (enic): transmit queue 0 timed out Error message of one of those crashes: BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request at ffffffffa007e090 After analyzing severl vmcores, I found that most of crashes are caused by memory corruption. And all the corrupted memory areas are overwritten by data of network packets. Moreover, I also found that the tx queues were enabled over watchdog reset. After going through the source code, I found that in enic_stop(), the tx queues stopped by netif_tx_disable() could be woken up over a small time window between netif_tx_disable() and the napi_disable() by the following code path: napi_poll-> enic_poll_msix_wq-> vnic_cq_service-> enic_wq_service-> netif_wake_subqueue(enic->netdev, q_number)-> test_and_clear_bit(__QUEUE_STATE_DRV_XOFF, &txq->state) In turn, upper netowrk stack could queue skb to ENIC NIC though enic_hard_start_xmit(). And this might introduce some race condition. Our customer comfirmed that this kind of kernel crash doesn't occur over 90 days since they applied this patch. netdev: pass the stuck queue to the timeout handler

This allows incrementing the correct timeout statistic without any mess. Down the road, devices can learn to reset just the specific queue. net: move skb->xmit_more hint to softnet data

There are two reasons for this. First, the xmit_more flag conceptually doesn't fit into the skb, as xmit_more is not a property related to the skb. Its only a hint to the driver that the stack is about to transmit another packet immediately. Second, it was only done this way to not have to pass another argument to ndo_start_xmit(). We can place xmit_more in the softnet data, next to the device recursion. The recursion counter is already written to on each transmit. The "more" indicator is placed right next to it. Drivers can use the netdev_xmit_more() helper instead of skb->xmit_more to check the "more packets coming" hint. skb->xmit_more is retained (but always 0) to not cause build breakage. This change takes care of the simple s/skb->xmit_more/netdev_xmit_more()/ conversions. Remaining drivers are converted in the next patches. The enic driver relies on the CONFIG_CPUMASK_OFFSTACK feature to dynamically allocate a struct member, but this is normally intended for local variables. Building with clang, I get a warning for a few locations that check the address of the cpumask_var_t: drivers/net/ethernet/cisco/enic/enic_main.c:122:22: error: address of array 'enic->msix[i].affinity_mask' will always evaluate to 'true' [-Werror,-Wpointer-bool-conversion] As far as I can tell, the code is still correct, as the truth value of the pointer is what we need in this configuration. To get rid of the warning, use cpumask_available() instead of checking the pointer directly. In order to pass extack together with NETDEV_PRE_UP notifications, it's necessary to route the extack to __dev_open() from diverse (possibly indirect) callers. One prominent API through which the notification is invoked is dev_open(). Therefore extend dev_open() with and extra extack argument and update all users. Most of the calls end up just encoding NULL, but bond and team drivers have the extack readily available. vnic_dev_register(), vnic_rq_alloc_bufs() and vnic_wq_alloc_bufs() are never called in atomic context. They call kzalloc() with GFP_ATOMIC, which is not necessary. In commit ab123fe071c9 ("enic: handle mtu change for vf properly") ASSERT_RTNL() is added to _enic_change_mtu() to prevent it from being called without rtnl held. enic_probe() calls enic_change_mtu() without rtnl held. At this point netdev is not registered yet. Remove call to enic_change_mtu and assign the mtu to netdev->mtu.
