* serial: Use default_serial_puts() in driversMarek Vasut2012-10-171-8/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Replace the in-place ad-hoc implementation of serial_puts() within the drivers with default_serial_puts() call. This cuts down on the code duplication quite a bit. Signed-off-by: Marek Vasut <marex@denx.de> Cc: Marek Vasut <marek.vasut@gmail.com> Cc: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com>
* serial: Remove CONFIG_SERIAL_MULTI from serial driversMarek Vasut2012-10-151-32/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | Remove the support for not-CONFIG_SERIAL_MULTI part from serial port drivers and some board files. Since CONFIG_SERIAL_MULTI is now enabled by default, that part is a dead code. Remove it. * serial: arm: Implement CONFIG_SERIAL_MULTI into pl01x serial driverMarek Vasut2012-10-151-7/+62
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Implement support for CONFIG_SERIAL_MULTI into pl01x serial driver. This driver was so far only usable directly, but this patch also adds support for the multi method. This allows using more than one serial driver alongside the pl01x driver. Also, add a weak implementation of default_serial_console() returning this driver. * serial: pl01x: drain PL01x FIFO before baudrate changeLinus Walleij2011-10-221-0/+10
| | | | | | | | | Not draining the FIFO and waiting for the UART to be non-busy before changing baudrate results in crap characters on the console, so let's wait for the FIFO to drain and the last character to be clocked out before we do that. Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
* Serial: p1011: new vendor init optionsJohn Rigby2011-05-121-3/+27
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Two new options: CONFIG_PL011_SERIAL_RLCR Some vendor versions of PL011 serial ports (e.g. ST-Ericsson U8500) have separate receive and transmit line control registers. Set this variable to initialize the extra register. CONFIG_PL011_SERIAL_FLUSH_ON_INIT On some platforms (e.g. U8500) U-Boot is loaded by a second stage boot loader that has already initialized the UART. Define this variable to flush the UART at init time. empty fifo on init Signed-off-by: John Rigby <john.rigby@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Rabin Vincent <rabin.vincent@stericsson.com>
* pl01x: use C structs and readl/writelRabin Vincent2010-11-301-20/+30
| | | | | | | | Use C structs for registers, and use readl/writel instead of custom accessors. Acked-by: Michael Brandt <michael.brandt@stericsson.com> Signed-off-by: Rabin Vincent <rabin.vincent@stericsson.com>
* ARMV7: Fixed baudrate setting in pl01x driverMatt Waddel2010-10-131-55/+38
| | | | | | | | | The pl01x serial driver was lacking the code to switch baudrates from the command line. Fixed by simply saving the new baudrate and calling serial_init() again. Also fixed CamelCase variables, I/O accessors and comment style. Signed-off-by: Matt Waddel <matt.waddel@linaro.org>

* Merged serial_pl010.c and serial_pl011.c.Andreas Engel2008-09-091-0/+228
They only differ in the init function. This also adds the missing watchdog support for the PL011. Signed-off-by: Andreas Engel <andreas.engel@ericsson.com>
