* doc: dt-bindings: Describe rockchip LVDS interfaceJacob Chen2016-03-141-0/+77
| | | | | | | | I didn't have a common board to enable LVDS. So add this dcocument to help others who want to enable LVDS in their board. Signed-off-by: Jacob Chen <jacob-chen@iotwrt.com> Acked-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* dm: video: Add support for the Parade PS8622/625 bridgeSimon Glass2015-08-051-0/+33
| | | | | | | | This chip provides an eDP to LVDS bridge which is useful for SoCs that don't support LVDS displays (or it would waste scarce pins). The setup is included in the device tree. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* fdt: Add binding decode function for display-timingsSimon Glass2015-05-131-0/+110
| | | | | | | | This is useful for display parameters. Add a simple decode function to read from this device tree node. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Signed-off-by: Tom Warren <twarren@nvidia.com>
* video: exynos_fb: configure backlight GPIOs if specified in DTAjay Kumar2015-04-061-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | Add support to configure PWM_OUT(PWM output) GPIO and BL_EN(backlight enable) GPIO, if provided in FIMD DT node. * x86: Add initial video device init for Intel GMASimon Glass2014-11-251-0/+40
| | | | | | | | | Intel's Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) is a generic name for a wide range of video devices. Add code to set up the hardware on ivybridge. Part of the init happens in native code, part of it happens in a 16-bit option ROM for those nostalgic for the 1970s. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* video: exynos_fimd: Add framework to disable FIMD sysmmuAjay Kumar2014-09-051-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | On Exynos5420 and newer versions, the FIMD sysmmus are in "on state" by default. We have to disable them in order to make FIMD DMA work. This patch adds the required framework to exynos_fimd driver, and disables FIMD sysmmu on Exynos5420. * Merge branch 'u-boot/master' into 'u-boot-arm/master'Albert ARIBAUD2014-03-251-0/+13
|\ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Trivial merge conflict, needed to manually remove local_info as per commit 41364f0f. Conflicts: board/samsung/common/board.c
| * sandbox: Add LCD driverSimon Glass2014-03-171-0/+13
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add a simple LCD driver which uses SDL to display the image. We update the image regularly, while still providing for reasonable performance. Adjust the common lcd code to support sandbox. For command-line runs we do not want the LCD to be displayed, so add a --show_lcd option to enable it. * | video:mipidsim:fdt: Add DT support for mipi dsim driverPiotr Wilczek2014-03-121-0/+82
|/ | | | | | | | | This patch enables parsing mipi data from device tree. Non device tree case is still supported. Signed-off-by: Piotr Wilczek <p.wilczek@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Kyungmin Park <kyungmin.park@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Minkyu Kang <mk7.kang@samsung.com>
* lcd: add functions to set up simplefb device treeStephen Warren2013-06-051-0/+25
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | simple-framebuffer is a new device tree binding that describes a pre- configured frame-buffer memory region and its format. The Linux kernel contains a driver that supports this binding. Implement functions to create a DT node (or fill in an existing node) with parameters that describe the framebuffer format that U-Boot is using. This will be immediately used by the Raspberry Pi board in U-Boot, and likely will be used by the Samsung ARM ChromeBook support soon too. It could well be used by many other boards (e.g. Tegra boards with built-in LCD panels, which aren't yet supported by the Linux kernel). * tegra: fdt: Add LCD definitions for TegraSimon Glass2012-11-192-0/+127
Add LCD definitions and also a proposed binding for LCD displays. The PWM is as per what will likely be committed to linux-next soon. The displaymode binding comes from a proposal here: http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/dri-devel/2012-July/024875.html The panel binding is new, and fills a need to specify the panel timings and other tegra-specific information. Should a binding appear that allows the pwm to handle this automatically, we can revisit this. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Signed-off-by: Tom Warren <twarren@nvidia.com>
