* spi: mxc: fix sf probe when using mxc_spiNikita Kiryanov2014-09-241-0/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | MXC SPI driver has a feature whereas a GPIO line can be used to force CS high across multiple transactions. This is set up by embedding the GPIO information in the CS value: cs = (cs | gpio << 8) This merge of cs and gpio data into one value breaks the sf probe command: if the use of gpio is required, invoking "sf probe <cs>" will not work, because the CS argument doesn't have the GPIO information in it. Instead, the user must use "sf probe <cs | gpio << 8>". For example, if bank 2 gpio 30 is used to force cs high on cs 0, bus 0, then instead of typing "sf probe 0" the user now must type "sf probe 15872". This is inconsistent with the description of the sf probe command, and forces the user to be aware of implementaiton details. Fix this by introducing a new board function: board_spi_cs_gpio(), which will accept a naked CS value, and provide the driver with the relevant GPIO, if one is necessary. * pmic: Extend PMIC framework to support multiple instances of PMIC devicesŁukasz Majewski2012-11-141-3/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The PMIC framework has been extended to support multiple instances of the variety of devices responsible for power management. This change allows supporting of e.g. fuel gauge, charger, MUIC (Micro USB Interface Circuit). Power related includes have been moved to ./include/power directory. This is a first of a series of patches - in the future "pmic" will be replaced with "power". Two important issues: 1. The PMIC needs to be initialized just after malloc is configured 2. It uses list to hold information about available PMIC devices Signed-off-by: Lukasz Majewski <l.majewski@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Kyungmin Park <kyungmin.park@samsung.com> Cc: Stefano Babic <sbabic@denx.de>

* mxc: Fix SDHC multi-instance clockBenoît Thébaudeau2012-10-161-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | On mxc, each SDHC instance has a dedicated clock, so gd->sdhc_clk is not suitable for the multi-instance use case (initialization made directly with fsl_esdhc_initialize()). This patch fixes this issue by adding a configuration field for the SDHC input clock frequency. * fsl_esdhc: Remove cache snooping for i.MXBenoît Thébaudeau2012-09-011-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The cache snooping feature of Freescale's eSDHC IP is not available on i.MX, so disable it globally for this architecture. This avoids setting no_snoop for all i.MX boards, and it prevents setting a reserved bit of a reserved register if fsl_esdhc_mmc_init() is used on i.MX, like in arch/arm/cpu/armv7/imx-common/cpu.c/cpu_mmc_init(). Since no_snoop was only used on i.MX, get rid of it BTW. * VIDEO: MX5: Switch MX5 to CONFIG_VIDEOStefano Babic2011-10-131-15/+21
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The framebuffer driver for MX5 is based on CONFIG_LCD. In the current implementation, there is a serious bug because the required memory is allocated before relocation, but the driver knows only later which is the resolution of the display. The patch switches the driver to CONFIG_VIDEO and the memory is allocated by the driver itself. We also need to switch the vision2 board code and config file in the same commit so that this commit will be bisectable. * Drop support for CONFIG_SYS_ARM_WITHOUT_RELOCWolfgang Denk2010-10-291-14/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When this define was introduced, the idea was to provide a soft migration path for ARM boards to get adapted to the new relocation support. However, other recent changes led to a different implementation (ELF relocation), where this no longer works. By now CONFIG_SYS_ARM_WITHOUT_RELOC does not only not help any more, but it actually hurts because it obfuscates the actual code by sprinkling it with lots of dead and non-working debris. So let's make a clean cut and drop CONFIG_SYS_ARM_WITHOUT_RELOC. Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de> Tested-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de> Tested-by: Reinhard Meyer <u-boot@emk-elektronik.de>
