* arch/powerpc: Add SGMII support for the L2 Switch portsCodrin Ciubotariu2015-01-161-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | Some Freescale SoCs like T1020 and T1040 have an integrated L2 Switch. The L2 Switch ports may be connected to Ethernet PHYs over SGMII and QSGMII. Signed-off-by: Codrin Ciubotariu <codrin.ciubotariu@freescale.com> Reviewed-by: York Sun <yorksun@freescale.com>
* arch/powerpc: Fix mapping of Freescale SerDes protocolsCodrin Ciubotariu2015-01-161-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The number of supported serdes protocols on Freescale SoCs has increased over time. Until now, an u64 variable have been initialized on boot with the configured protocols. However, since this number has increased (enum srds_prtcl has more than 64 values), 64 bits are no longer sufficient to hold track of all the configured protocols. This patch replaces the u64 map values with static arrays. To keep track of the number of serdes protocols, the SERDES_PRCTL_COUNT vale has been added at the end of enum srds_prtcl. This value must always be the last one. Signed-off-by: Codrin Ciubotariu <codrin.ciubotariu@freescale.com> Reviewed-by: York Sun <yorksun@freescale.com>
* net/fm: add 2.5G SGMII supportShengzhou Liu2014-11-191-0/+16
| | | | | | | | | | As auto-negotiation is not supported for 2.5G SGMII, we need to add a new type PHY_INTERFACE_MODE_SGMII_2500 to differentiate SGMII-1G and SGMII-2.5G with different setting for auto-negotiation. | | | | | | | There are more than two 10GEC in single FMAN in some SoCs(e.g. T2080). This patch adds support for 10GEC3 and 10GEC4. Signed-off-by: Shengzhou Liu <Shengzhou.Liu@freescale.com>
* fsl/mpc85xx: define common serdes_clock_to_string functionValentin Longchamp2013-10-241-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | This allows to share some common code for the boards that use a corenet base SoC. Two different versions of the function are available in fsl_corenet_serdes.c and fsl_corenet2_serdes.c files. * powerpc/mpc8xxx: Add T1040 and variant SoCsYork Sun2013-05-241-0/+8
| | | | | | | | | T1040 and variants have e5500 cores and are compliant to QorIQ Chassis Generation 2. The major difference between T1040 and its variants is the number of cores and the number of L2 switch ports. * powerpc/corenet2: Add SerDes for corenet2York Sun2012-10-221-0/+42
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Create new files to handle 2nd generation Chassis as the registers are organized differently. - Add SerDes protocol parsing and detection - Add support of 4 SerDes - Add CPRI protocol in fsl_serdes.h The Common Public Radio Interface (CPRI) is publicly available specification that standardizes the protocol interface between the radio equipment control (REC) and the radio equipment (RE) in wireless basestations. This allows interoperability of equipment from different vendors,and preserves the software investment made by wireless service providers. | | | | | | | | | | Move serdes init until after we are in ram so we can keep track of a global static protocal map for the particular serdes config we are in. This makes is_serdes_configured() much simplier and not constantly reading registers to determine if a given device is enabled based on the protocol. * Move arch/ppc to arch/powerpcStefan Roese2010-04-211-0/+21
As discussed on the list, move "arch/ppc" to "arch/powerpc" to better match the Linux directory structure. Please note that this patch also changes the "ppc" target in MAKEALL to "powerpc" to match this new infrastructure. But "ppc" is kept as an alias for now, to not break compatibility with scripts using this name.
