* m68k: Remove CONFIG_CMD_BEDBUG related codeVasili Galka2014-06-191-8/+0
| | | | | | | | This flag does not compile on m68k since 2003 (8bde7f7) when a required "cmd_bedbug.h" header was removed. Eleven years passed, lets clean up a little... Signed-off-by: Vasili Galka <vvv444@gmail.com>
* m68k: powerpc: Clean up do_mdm_initSimon Glass2014-05-291-7/+0
| | | | | | | | This code seems unnecessarily complex. We really just need to check the global_data. Now that is it all in one place, and not arch-specific, this is pretty easy. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* bd_info: remove bi_barudrate member from struct bd_infoMasahiro Yamada2014-05-121-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | gd->bd->bi_baudrate is a copy of gd->baudrate. Since baudrate is a common feature for all architectures, keep gd->baudrate only. It is true that bi_baudrate was passed to the kernel in that structure but it was a long time ago. | | | | | | | There is a debug call in board.c befor serial interface was initialized. This moves the debug code behind serial_initialize call. Signed-off-by: Jens Scharsig (BuS Elektronik) <esw@bus-elektronik.de>

* Declare watchdog functions in watchdog.hSimon Glass2013-03-151-0/+1
| | | | | | | | These functions are only available for powerpc and are not declared in a header file. We want to use the rest function in two places (board_f and board_r), so declare the functions in watchdog.h. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* Replace __bss_end__ with __bss_endSimon Glass2013-03-151-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Note this is a tree-wide change affecting multiple architectures. At present we use __bss_start, but mostly __bss_end__. This seems inconsistent and in a number of places __bss_end is used instead. Change to use __bss_end for the BSS end symbol throughout U-Boot. This makes it possible to use the asm-generic/sections.h file on all archs. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
* malloc: make malloc_bin_reloc staticGabor Juhos2013-02-191-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | On architectures where manual relocation is needed, the 'malloc_bin_reloc' function must be called after 'mem_malloc_init'. Make the 'malloc_bin_reloc' function static and call it directly from 'mem_malloc_init' instead of calling that from board_init_{r,f} functions of the affected architectures. * m68k/lib: fix serial driver relocationangelo2013-01-111-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | Fix coldfire serial driver bindings no more relocated to ram after last changes to drivers/serial/serial.c (regression). * env: Use getenv_yesno() more generallyJoe Hershberger2012-12-131-2/+1

* common: Convert the U-Boot commands to LG-arraysMarek Vasut2012-10-221-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch converts the old method of creating a list of command onto the new LG-arrays code. The old u_boot_cmd section is converted to new u_boot_list_cmd subsection and LG-array macros used as needed. Minor adjustments had to be made to the common code to work with the LG-array macros, mostly the fixup_cmdtable() calls are now passed the ll_entry_start and ll_entry_count instead of linker-generated symbols. The command.c had to be adjusted as well so it would use the newly introduced LG-array API instead of directly using linker-generated symbols. * net: move bootfile init into eth_initializeMike Frysinger2012-05-151-5/+0

| | | | | | | | | | | This is long over due. All but two net drivers have been converted, but those have now been dropped. * rename _end to __bss_end__Po-Yu Chuang2011-03-271-2/+2

* Replace CONFIG_RELOC_FIXUP_WORKS by CONFIG_NEEDS_MANUAL_RELOCWolfgang Denk2010-10-291-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | By now, the majority of architectures have working relocation support, so the few remaining architectures have become exceptions. To make this more obvious, we make working relocation now the default case, and flag the remaining cases with CONFIG_NEEDS_MANUAL_RELOC. * Rename CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_END into CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZEWolfgang Denk2010-10-261-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_END was a misnomer as it suggests this might be some end address; to make the meaning more clear we rename it into CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZE No other code changes are performed in this patch, only minor editing of white space (due to the changed length) and the comments was done, where noticed. Note that the code for the PATI and cmi_mpc5xx board configurations looks seriously broken. * Rename getenv_r() into getenv_f()Wolfgang Denk2010-08-041-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | While running from flash, i. e. before relocation, we have only a limited C runtime environment without writable data segment. In this phase, some configurations (for example with environment in EEPROM) must not use the normal getenv(), but a special function. This function had been called getenv_r(), with the idea that the "_r" suffix would mean the same as in the _r_eentrant versions of some of the C library functions (for example getdate vs. getdate_r, getgrent vs. getgrent_r, etc.). Unfortunately this was a misleading name, as in U-Boot the "_r" generally means "running from RAM", i. e. _after_ relocation. To avoid confusion, rename into getenv_f() [as "running from flash"] Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de> Acked-by: Detlev Zundel <dzu@denx.de>
