* board: AM335x-ICEv2: Add DDR dataLokesh Vutla2016-05-271-0/+15
| | | | | | | | | AM335x ICEv2 contains a 2Gbit(128Mx16) of DDR3 SDRAM(MT41J128M16JT-125), capable of running at 400MHz. Adding this specific DDR configuration details running at 400MHz. Reviewed-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com> Signed-off-by: Lokesh Vutla <lokeshvutla@ti.com>
* am335x_evm / gumstix pepper: Correct DDR settingsTom Rini2014-07-251-4/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | As noted by clang, we have been shifting certain values out of 32bit range when setting some DDR registers. Upon further inspection these had been touching reserved fields (and having no impact). These came in from historical bring-up code and can be discarded. Similarly, we had been declaring some fields as 0 when they will be initialized that way. Tested on Beaglebone White. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch add support for the Silica Pengwyn board [1] The board is based on a TI AM3354 CPU [2] All jumpers removed it will boot from the SDcard, the console is on UART1 accessible via the FDTI -> USB. The on board NAND flash is supported and can act as boot medium, depending on jumper settings. USB Host, USB Device and Ethernet are also provided but untested. * ARM: AM335x: Enable DDR dynamic IO power downSatyanarayana, Sandhya2014-01-241-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch enables dynamically powering down the IO receiver when not performing a read on boards using DDR3. This optimizes both active and standby power consumption. This bit is not set on EVM SK and EVM 1.5 and later boards. Setting the same. This has been tested on PG2.0 EVM1.5, EVM1.2, EVM-SK, BBB. * am33xx: fix the ddr_cmdtctrl structureIlya Ledvich2013-07-021-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Fix the wrong mapping between the DDR I/O control registers on AM33XX SoCs and the software representation in the SPL code. The most recent public TRM defines the following DDR I/O control registers offsets: * ddr_cmd0_ioctrl : offset 0x44E11404 * ddr_cmd1_ioctrl : offset 0x44E11408 * ddr_cmd2_ioctrl : offset 0x44E1140C * ddr_data0_ioctrl: offset 0x44E11440 * ddr_data1_ioctrl: offset 0x44E11444 While the struct ddr_cmdtctrl has also some reserved bits in the beginning. The struct is mapped to the address 0x44E11404. As a result "cm0ioctl" points to the ddr_cmd1_ioctrl register, "cm1ioctl" to the ddr_cmd2_ioctrl and etc. Registers ddr_cmd0_ioctrl and ddr_data0_ioctrl are never configured because of this mapping mismatch. * am33xx: Correct and clean up ddr_regs structTom Rini2012-09-011-19/+18
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | The ddr_regs struct was incorrectly offset after the dt0wiratio0 entry. Correct this by documenting a missing register that will be used at some point in the future (when write leveling is supported). Further, the cmdNcs{force,delay} fields are undocumented and we have been setting them to zero, remove. Next, setting of the 'DATAn_REG_PHY_USE_RANK0_DELAYS field belongs with the rest of the ddr_data entries, so program it there. Finally, comment on how we are configuring the DATA1 registers that correspond to the DATA0 (dt0) registers defined in the struct. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | EMIF parameters are calculated based on the AC timing parameters from the SDRAM datasheet and the DDR frequency. Current values for these paramters in AM335x U-Boot code, though reliable, are not fully optimal. The most optimal settings can be derived based on the guidelines published at [1].
