| * | | | kernel-doc: Handle returning pointers to pointersMatthew Wilcox2017-01-261-7/+7

| * | | | kernel-doc: properly document array arguments of functionGabriel Krisman Bertazi2017-01-131-1/+1

This cleans up the suffix from the key before accessing the dictionary. | * | | | kernel-doc: make highlights more homogenous for the various backendsPaolo Bonzini2017-01-041-18/+50
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | $type_struct_full and friends are only used by the restructuredText backend, because it needs to separate enum/struct/typedef/union from the name of the type. However, $type_struct is *also* used by the rST backend. This is confusing. This patch replaces $type_struct's use in the rST backend with a new $type_fallback; it modifies $type_struct so that it can be used in the rST backend; and creates regular expressions like $type_struct for enum/typedef/union, for use in all backends. Note that, compared to $type_*_full, in the new regexes $1 includes both the "kind" and the name (before, $1 was pretty much a constant). | * | | | kernel-doc: make member highlighting available in all backendsPaolo Bonzini2017-01-041-11/+19

For consistency, this change is applied to $type_member and $type_member_func too, not just to $type_member_xml. List mode only prints the struct name, to avoid any undesired change in the operation of docproc. | * | | | kernel-doc: strip attributes even if they have an argumentPaolo Bonzini2017-01-041-1/+7

However, some attributes have arguments (e.g. the "target" attribute). Handle those too. Furthermore, attributes could be at the beginning of a function declaration, before the return type. To correctly handle this case, you need to strip spaces after the attributes; otherwise, dump_function is left confused. This allows the hash table to be sized based on the current memory usage of the guest, rather than the maximum possible memory usage. - Implementation of optprobes (kprobe optimisation) for powerpc. |/ / | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This add the kbuild infrastructure that will allow architectures to emit vmlinux symbol CRCs as 32-bit offsets to another location in the kernel where the actual value is stored. This works around problems with CRCs being mistaken for relocatable symbols on kernels that self relocate at runtime (i.e., powerpc with CONFIG_RELOCATABLE=y) For the kbuild side of things, this comes down to the following: - introducing a Kconfig symbol MODULE_REL_CRCS - adding a -R switch to genksyms to instruct it to emit the CRC symbols as references into the .rodata section - making modpost distinguish such references from absolute CRC symbols by the section index (SHN_ABS) - making kallsyms disregard non-absolute symbols with a __crc_ prefix Signed-off-by: Ard Biesheuvel <ard.biesheuvel@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Commit 3322d0d64f4e ("selinux: keep SELinux in sync with new capability definitions") added a check on the defined capabilities without explicitly including the capability header file which caused problems when building genheaders for users of clang/llvm. Resolve this by using the kernel headers when building genheaders, which is arguably the right thing to do regardless, and explicitly including the kernel's capability.h header file in classmap.h. We also update the mdp build, even though it wasn't causing an error we really should be using the headers from the kernel we are building. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently because of the left associativity of the operators, pattern IRQF_ONESHOT | flags does not match with the pattern when we have more than one flag after the disjunction. This eventually results in giving false positives by the script. This patch eliminates these FPs by improving the rule. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Brace expansion might not work properly if _buildshell RPM macro points to a shell other than bash. Particularly, with _bulidshell defined to /bin/dash it leads to broken build and source symlinks.
