| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The Kconfig currently controlling compilation of this code is: config PINCTRL_ZYNQ bool "Pinctrl driver for Xilinx Zynq" ...meaning that it currently is not being built as a module by anyone. Lets remove the modular code that is essentially orphaned, so that when reading the driver there is no doubt it is builtin-only. Since module_platform_driver() uses the same init level priority as builtin_platform_driver() the init ordering remains unchanged with this commit. Also note that MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE is a no-op for non-modular code. We also delete the MODULE_LICENSE tag etc. since all that information is already contained at the top of the file in the comments. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently, pinctrl_register() just returns NULL on error, so the callers can not know the exact reason of the failure. Some of the pinctrl drivers return -EINVAL, some -ENODEV, and some -ENOMEM on error of pinctrl_register(), although the error code might be different from the real cause of the error. This commit reworks pinctrl_register() to return the appropriate error code and modifies all of the pinctrl drivers to use IS_ERR() for the error checking and PTR_ERR() for getting the error code. This, of course, has to be considered in the devicetree, so pin controller configuration for e.g. an SPI0 using SS0 and SS1 only might look like the following snippet (derived from the example of chapter "17.5.3 MIO/EMIO" Routing of Zynq-7000 TRM UG585). So MIO20 can now be used as GPIO instead of being occupied by SPI0 SS2 function. This adds a pin-control driver for Zynq. Changes since v2: - driver-specific DT properties are passed to the core in two arrays, one for the actual DT parsing one for the debugfs representation.
