* drm: sti: remove useless fields from vtg structureBenjamin Gaignard2017-11-081-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | Drivers are registered on platform bus so the private list could be replace by a call to of_find_device_by_node(). Changing this also makes dev, np and link fields useless in vtg structure. * drm/sti: load HQVDP firmware the first time HQVDP's plane is usedVincent Abriou2015-11-031-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | The way to load the HQVDP firmware has been updated. HQVDP firmware is now loaded the first time an HQVDP plane is used and no more when the HQVDP driver is bound. This solves the dependency we had on the file system availability. The first time the HQVDP plane is used, we are sure that file system is available so request_firmware function will match. CONFIG_FW_LOADER_USER_HELPER_FALLBACK is then no more mandatory. Cc: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de> Signed-off-by: Vincent Abriou <vincent.abriou@st.com>
* drm/sti: Remove local fbdev emulation Kconfig optionArchit Taneja2015-11-031-6/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | DRM_STI_FBDEV config is currently used to enable/disable fbdev emulation for the sti kms driver. Remove this local config option and use the core fb helpers with drm_kms_helper.fbdev_emulation module option to enable/disable fbdev at runtime. * drm: sti: add panel dependencyArnd Bergmann2015-01-311-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The newly added sti driver requires the drm_panel helpers, and we get a link error if they are not enabled ERROR: "drm_panel_attach" [drivers/gpu/drm/sti/stidvo.ko] undefined! * drm: sti: add HQVDP planeBenjamin Gaignard2014-12-111-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | High Quality Video Data Plane is hardware IP dedicated to video rendering. Compare to GPD (graphic planes) it have better scaler capabilities. HQVDP use VID layer to push data into hardware compositor without going into DDR. From data flow point of view HQVDP and VID are nested so HQVPD update/disable VID. VTG are used by pair for each data path (main or auxiliary) one for master and one for slave.
