* mm/arch: use __free_reserved_page() to simplify the codeXishi Qiu2013-11-131-5/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Use __free_reserved_page() to simplify the code in arch. It used split_page() in consistent_alloc()/__dma_alloc_coherent()/dma_alloc_coherent(), so page->_count == 1, and we can free it safely. __free_reserved_page() ClearPageReserved() init_page_count() // it won't change the value __free_page() Signed-off-by: Xishi Qiu <qiuxishi@huawei.com> Cc: James Hogan <james.hogan@imgtec.com> Cc: Michal Simek <monstr@monstr.eu> Cc: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org> Cc: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>

| | * microblaze/pci: Drop PowerPC-ism from irq parsingGrant Likely2013-10-242-72/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The Microblaze PCI code copied the PowerPC irq handling, but powerpc needs to handle broken device trees that are not present on Microblaze. This patch removes the powerpc special case and replaces it with a direct of_irq_parse_and_map_pci() call. | | * of/irq: simplify args to irq_create_of_mappingGrant Likely2013-10-241-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | All the callers of irq_create_of_mapping() pass the contents of a struct of_phandle_args structure to the function. Since all the callers already have an of_phandle_args pointer, why not pass it directly to irq_create_of_mapping()? | | * of/irq: Replace of_irq with of_phandle_argsGrant Likely2013-10-241-5/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | struct of_irq and struct of_phandle_args are exactly the same structure. This patch makes the kernel use of_phandle_args everywhere. This in itself isn't a big deal, but it makes some follow-on patches simpler. | | * of/irq: Rename of_irq_map_* functions to of_irq_parse_*Grant Likely2013-10-241-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The OF irq handling code has been overloading the term 'map' to refer to both parsing the data in the device tree and mapping it to the internal linux irq system. This is probably because the device tree does have the concept of an 'interrupt-map' function for translating interrupt references from one node to another, but 'map' is still confusing when the primary purpose of some of the functions are to parse the DT data. This patch renames all the of_irq_map_* functions to of_irq_parse_* which makes it clear that there is a difference between the parsing phase and the mapping phase. Kernel code can make use of just the parsing or just the mapping support as needed by the subsystem. The patch was generated mechanically with a handful of sed commands. These systems need the ability to specify the initrd location using 64-bit numbers. This patch globally modifies the early_init_dt_setup_initrd_arch() function to use 64-bit numbers instead of the current unsigned long. There has been quite a bit of debate about whether to use u64 or phys_addr_t. It was concluded to stick to u64 to be consistent with rest of the device tree code. As summarized by Geert, "The address to load the initrd is decided by the bootloader/user and set at that point later in time. The dtb should not be tied to the kernel you are booting" More details on the discussion can be found here: https://lkml.org/lkml/2013/6/20/690 https://lkml.org/lkml/2012/9/13/544 Signed-off-by: Santosh Shilimkar <santosh.shilimkar@ti.com> Acked-by: Rob Herring <rob.herring@calxeda.com> Acked-by: Vineet Gupta <vgupta@synopsys.com> Acked-by: Jean-Christophe PLAGNIOL-VILLARD <plagnioj@jcrosoft.com> Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@linaro.org>

|/ / | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch removes the declaration of the function 'of_get_cpu_node' which is not defined for microblaze. This is in preparation to move it's definition from PPC to DT common code. Michal Simek says: "it was just there because Microblaze was based on powerpc code" Acked-by: Michal Simek <monstr@monstr.eu> Signed-off-by: Sudeep KarkadaNagesha <sudeep.karkadanagesha@arm.com>
* | microblaze: fix clone syscallMichal Simek2013-08-131-1/+1
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Fix inadvertent breakage in the clone syscall ABI for Microblaze that was introduced in commit f3268edbe6fe ("microblaze: switch to generic fork/vfork/clone"). The Microblaze syscall ABI for clone takes the parent tid address in the 4th argument; the third argument slot is used for the stack size. The incorrectly-used CLONE_BACKWARDS type assigned parent tid to the 3rd slot. This commit restores the original ABI so that existing userspace libc code will work correctly. All kernel versions from v3.8-rc1 were affected. | * microblaze: Move __NR_syscalls from uapiMichal Simek2013-07-102-2/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The reason is that other applications like strace think that every __NR_xx is syscall. Also __NR_syscalls is not used by user applications/libs. Signed-off-by: Michal Simek <michal.simek@xilinx.com>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Other architectures don't do it, and it conflicts with the extern'd definition in include/linux/kgdb.h. The patch fails checkpatch but it reflects current functions declaration and solved compilation error.
