* Fix deadlock in ECC error shutdown pathNick Bofferding2019-04-012-3/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | There is a scenario wherein if a PNOR ECC UE occurs when attempting to service a page fault, the kernel will deadlock when it attempts to kill the task that triggered the fault. This is due to the kill routine being called while holding the VMM spinlock and then collecting a backtrace, which also performs a nested acquire of the same spinlock. This fix inhibits invoking the backtrace if the kill routine holds the VMM spinlock. * Resize WOF to allow AXONE test pnor to fit inside 64 MBChristian Geddes2019-04-013-22/+10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit reduces the size of the WOFDATA section in PNOR from 12 MB -> 6 MB in an effort to get axone pnor test image fitting in 64 MB. We also had to move from using the very larg ZZ WOF image to use the smaller Zeppelin WOF image. Due to the way the makefile that generates the pnor image works we always generate "final" versions of all 3 WOF images (ZZ, Zeppelin, Fleetwood) regardless of what we are actually building. There were some checks in the genPnorImages script that would ensure the layout you are using was big enough for any binary that we generate. I have removed this restriction so you can now generate binaries that are larger then the space allotted (we will not use the larger binaries but they still get generated). The alternative is to edit the makefile to only generate the "final" images of the sections we want. That is possible but would require a larger rewrite of the makefile. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Data written/read from the command/response/data buffers is done so in transaction sizes of 4 or 8 bytes. The data in those transactions will be little endian byte order. The byte order of those transactions must be corrected to represent the data structures stored in the buffers correctly for extraction of field data. The fields themselves will be big endian byte ordering. This patch also adds two attributes: ATTR_MSS_OCMB_EXP_STRUCT_MMIO_ENDIAN_CTRL - Controls whether or not bytes read from and written two the buffer are swapped. The default is to swap the byte order. ATTR_MSS_OCMB_EXP_STRUCT_ENDIAN - Controls whether or not the bytes of buffer structure fields are little endian or not. The default is big endian. * INTRP HW Workaround for Clockgating IssueBill Hoffa2019-03-272-9/+23
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | - The issue occurs because the slave procs route their interrupts to the master proc, which forces the LSI Interrupt event over the PSIHB. However, the master is still using the local wire for its LSI Interrupt events. There is a situation where undesirable hw behavior can occur because of this (dropped/missed interrupts) - This workaround will set the ESB Notification Register on the master proc, which will force the lsi interrupts over the PSIHB and not the local wire. * Fix bug that was scrambling traces in errorlogs during HBRTChristian Geddes2019-03-261-0/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | There was a bug in how HB was interpreting the clock time that PHYP returned in response to a get_clocktime request. The nsec member of the struct returned was getting the first 32bits filled in and Hostboot was expecting the value to be in the last 32bits. This change will shift the nsec value down 4 bytes if we find the back half of the nsec value to be all 0's. I believe the reason the wrong bits were filled in is because PHYP is returning a packed struct whose 2nd member is a 32 bit value so it does not get filled in correctly. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The nvdimm module provides the back-end of a device driver interface. That means that it has a REGISTER_ROUTE call that will run when the module is loaded. Right now the module is loaded/unloaded for several isteps, which means we end up seeing DEVFW_RC_DOUBLE_REGISTRATION errors. These are only informational, but they are still indicating a problem. This change moves the libnvdimm.so module into the list of extended initservice tasks that get loaded before we start the isteps. This is where all of our other device drivers live. I cleaned up a leftover call to libmmio.so that was there from the same kind of change previously. * OPAL/MPIPL: Processor Dump Area Table interfacesRaja Das2019-03-2113-25/+667
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds support to collect processor architected register data. SBE <--> Hostboot : ------------------- During first boot, hostboot reserves memory to copy architected register data by SBE and sends address to each SBE (see commit 9f49d11b). During MPIPL SBE collects architected register data and copies to reserved memory. Hostboot <--> Hypervisor : -------------------------- HDAT/SPIRAH has new ntuple (Processor Dump Area) to pass various architected register data. During IPL/runtime hypervisor reserves memory for architected register data and updates SPIRAH. During MPIPL (istep 14.8), hostboot converts SBE formated architected registers data to HDAT format and copies to hypervisor reserved memory. It uses NACA/SPIRAH pointers to get hypervisor reserved memory details. Hostboot has to update SPIRAH ntuple after loading new LID to memory. Hence this patch introdues below new attributes: - PDA_CAPTURED_THREAD_REG_ARRAY_ADDR - PDA_CAPTURED_THREAD_REG_ARRAY_SIZE - PDA_THREAD_REG_ENTRY_SIZE - PDA_THREAD_REG_STATE_ENTRY_FORMAT Change-Id: Idc7489e8cf6fc68fe80f028ba6deb97aa72486bf CC: Sampa Misra <sampmisr@in.ibm.com> CC: Daniel M.
